With China’s continuous attention to the development of education and the gradual improvement of education policies,the educational concept has shown many changes,and on the basis of pursuing scientific,systematic and comprehensive teaching,it also pays attention to the cultivation of students’ character,personality and creativity.Since middle school is facing the pressure of entrance examinations compared with primary school,the educational reform in the middle school period is relatively lagging behind,but with the continuous improvement of the society’s requirements for talents at all levels,the state has also promulgated corresponding education policies to adjust the education model,and secondary education under the new education concept will also develop in a more open,flexible and diversified direction.Middle school is a critical period for students’ learning and personality formation,and it is also the most sensitive period for middle school students to perceive the spatial environment,and the adaptability of educational space has a significant impact on students’ all-round development.As the material carrier of teaching activities,educational space will affect the development and completion quality of teaching activities;As the daily content of the educational space,teaching activities also have an impact on the layout and form of the educational space.Only an open educational space that meets the requirements of the new educational concept can cultivate creative talents who meet the needs of contemporary society.Based on the emphasis on the all-round development and personality liberation of middle school students,this paper uses the basic theoretical methods of education,spatial psychology,behavior and environmental design to analyze the current situation and existing problems of existing secondary education space through the investigation and analysis of excellent campus cases at home and abroad.Combined with the space requirements under the contemporary concept of open education,this paper analyzes and studies the campus education space of Jiangnan Art Middle School,and summarizes the educational space model suitable for open education.This topic takes the secondary education space under the concept of open education as the research object,and mainly conducts research from the following three aspects:first,it sorts out the development process of domestic education space,discusses the development of contemporary educational concepts and the transformation of the layout of educational space,and analyzes the current situation and existing problems of existing educational space;The second is to elaborate on the demand for educational space under the concept of openness.In view of the uncertainty in the development of domestic students and the monolithic functionality of educational space,under the requirements of the concept of open education,explore the design strategy of diversified teaching space adapted to the teaching activities and talent training of secondary schools in China.The third is to analyze the behavioral needs of contemporary middle school students,starting from visual elements such as space,structure,interface,materials,colors,etc.,combined with the optimal design of the education space of Chongqing Jiangnan Art Middle School,hoping to create a more humanized and diversified educational space,so that it can not only meet the current teaching needs,but also adapt to the evolving spatial mode of future education forms.
