China’s existing building stock is huge,most of the existing industrial buildings with the development of the times have been abandoned.Most of the existing buildings have many problems,such as poor physical environment,high building energy consumption and waste of internal space.In the early stage,the renovation of existing buildings focused on function replacement while ignoring the green design of buildings.In the later stage,many problems including poor spatial environment comfort and high building energy consumption may occur.From the perspective of building passive design,this paper selects an existing building in the Water Conservatory of Tianjin University as the practical object of passive design strategy,and explores the application of passive design strategies in the renovation of existing buildings in cold climate of China.This paper mainly is divided into three parts,The first part mainly studies and summarizes the passive strategy methods applicable to the renovation of existing buildings,including indoor space organization and envelope structure renovation.In this process,we understand the application principles of passive design strategies.Provide theoretical basis for the passive renovation design of existing buildings.This part also includes analysis of existing building green renovation cases from the perspective of passive design,understanding the application methods and processes of passive design strategies in architectural practice,and summarizing existing building renovations Commonly used passive strategy methods provide a case basis for the subsequent architectural renovation and design.The second part is to combine the passive strategy suitable for Tianjin City and the passive design strategy suitable for the renovation of the Water Conservancy Museum of Tianjin University,construct the basic framework of the renovation strategy,and clarify the direction of the renovation.The third part is the practical part.Based on the basic framework of the renovation strategies,this paper applies the specific renovation strategy to carry out the renovation practice of the water conservatory building.With the help of the daylighting simulation software Ecotect,ventilation simulation software Phoenics and energy consumption simulation software Design Builder,the feasibility of the specific renovation strategies are screened to select the most suitable design strategies for this project.Starting from the perspective of green renovation of existing buildings,this study takes passive design strategies as the main means,and quantitatively analyzes the strategic results with the help of software simulation during the renovation of the water conservatory Building,so as to obtain relatively ideal renovation scheme.It is expected that this paper can provide some ideas and methods for the practical design of green renovation of existing buildings in cold areas.
