Study On The Design Strategy Of Community Outdoor Public Space

The outdoor public space of the community is an important place for the daily communication and life of the elderly,and is the main activity venue for the leisure and entertainment of the elderly.With the rapid development of China’s population aging,the elderly due to age growth and physiological changes,resulting in different spatial needs and psychological needs of other population groups,society should pay attention to and attach importance to the outdoor activity environment of the elderly in many aspects.This paper will dig deep into the real needs of the elderly,explore the ageability design strategy of community public space,try to provide new ideas for the ageability design of community public space,and play a certain reference role in the ageability design of other community public spaces.This paper first starts from the concept of suitable aging and related concepts,sorts out the research theories and cases of community aging at home and abroad,and analyzes the physiological function and psychological characteristics of the elderly on the spatial appeal.Then,through field investigation and questionnaire survey,the regularity and circle of outdoor activities of the elderly in the sample community were explored,the accessibility and existing problems of the linear pedestrian traffic space and life service facilities were sorted out,and then the type of community public space and the status quo of ageability were analyzed from the environmental characteristics and spatial distribution of the community public space.Finally,taking the practice of age-appropriate transformation of community public space in Jinzhai South Road,Changqing Street,Hefei as an example,in view of the pedestrian traffic accessibility and outdoor activity trajectory of the elderly,the aging design of the pedestrian traffic space for the elderly and the community public activity venue is mainly discussed,especially the ageability design of the activity venue and facilities with large demand for space activities for the elderly and low satisfaction,including community safety trails,inter-building entrances and exits,landscape greening,facility sketches and lighting,garden space,household space,and the ageability design and transformation of activity venues and facilities such as community edge spaces.It aims to supplement the research on the ageability design of public spaces in Hefei community,hoping to provide an outdoor activity environment with social participation for the elderly in Hefei.Figure:77 table:6 reference :35...
