| As a non-renewable resource,coal mining eventually leads to the abandonment of once glorious mining areas as coal resources become depleted.How to redevelop and reuse these industrial waste sites has become an important topic of urban landscape design research both domestically and internationally.This article takes the design renovation of the Red Flag Coal Mine in Xintai City,Shandong Province,which has already become a waste industrial site,as an example to study the transformation of traditional industrial heritage into new functionalities through design practice.Through an overview of relevant concepts related to coal mine waste sites and landscape restoration,combined with domestic and foreign research and practical cases,this article summarizes the general rules for designing strategies for landscape restoration of coal mine waste sites.Next,the article takes the Red Flag Coal Mine waste site as the research object,conducts field research,analyzes the current situation of the waste site and attempts to propose a set of appropriate strategies and methods for designing a cultural-themed park to revitalize the site from the perspective of landscape restoration while considering the needs and positioning of urban development.A comprehensive coal mining themed park is designed,integrating landscape regeneration,leisure tourism,industrial heritage protection,and science education.Through presenting a series of design schemes,the ecological environment of the coal mine waste site is restored,and its landscape is regenerated while selectively retaining the coal mining industrial culture to pass down the industrial cultural legacy,reshaping the cultural characteristics and vitality of the Red Flag Coal Mine waste site. |
