The Application Of Regional Cultural Symbols In The Design Of Railway Passenger Transport Spatiai Environment

Railroad business is a landmark achievement of modern human civilization and one of the important manifestations of economic modernization.Railway is not only a tool for material transportation,but also carries an important significance in its development history.Since the establishment of New China,China’s railroad network construction and technological changes have achieved remarkable results,the rapid growth of railroad passenger traffic and turnover,the old railroad passenger space in the face of such a huge passenger flow has been overloaded,it is difficult to meet the needs of modern life.Looking at the domestic traditional railroad passenger space construction,most of the design points are to meet the function,but there are also problems such as lack of deep excavation of regional culture,foreign culture and traditional regional culture to be integrated,and lack of artistry in the application of regional cultural symbols.As the iconic space of the city,the 14 th Five-Year Plan proposes to promote the integrated planning and construction of comprehensive transportation hubs,pay attention to the development of regional culture,and create the image of the city,which makes the design of urban railroad passenger space change quietly.As a material carrier carrying the historical and cultural memory of a city,it is a display of urban development and people’s living environment for a long time.The designers should integrate the regional cultural symbols to find a new way to solve the urban cultural and spiritual crisis and sustainable development,in order to make the two in a symbiotic context The city’s characteristic culture is inherited and promoted.From the semiotic point of view,regional culture has unique urban charm and extremely rich design elements,which are worth further research and excavation.As the "entrance and exit" of the city,the railroad passenger space is the first step to promote the city culture,so it is necessary to integrate the regional culture into the design of urban railroad passenger space.The first chapter of this thesis is an introduction,which explains the background of the topic,the significance of the research and the review of the academic research on related theories at home and abroad;the second chapter,based on the semiotic theory perspective,compares Peirce’s semiotic theory and Roland Barthes’ urban semiotic theory,and analyzes the concept,communication process,characteristics and value of regional design and regional cultural symbols,and proposes that there is still room for the development of regional design in the spatial expression in China;the third chapter,based on the fieldwork,presents the following Chapter 3 summarizes the current situation of railroad passenger space in China based on fieldwork data,studies its shortcomings and excellent parts,and explores new trends,new expression strategies and transformation applications of railroad passenger space design;Chapter 4 categorizes and analyzes Jinan’s regional culture from two dimensions: the unique commercial port culture formed by the fusion of Jinan’s opening and foreign cultures and Jinan’s local regional culture.The fourth chapter analyzes Jinan’s regional culture in two dimensions: the unique merchant culture formed by the fusion of Jinan’s port and foreign cultures and the local regional culture of Jinan.Firstly,through in-depth field research and literature analysis,the unique symbols of Jinan’s commercial port culture in spatial decoration design are studied;then,the typical cultural symbols are extracted according to the traditional decorative features of Jinan’s architecture,urban symbols and color materials,and the local regional culture is classified and integrated according to Peirce’s theory of symbolic triadic relationship;Chapter 5 chooses to study the Jinan Station North railroad passenger space as an example.The fifth chapter chooses the Jinan Station North Railway Passenger Space as an example for practical research,interpreting the significance of combining regional cultural symbols with railroad passenger space and the actual project application of regional cultural symbols.Finally,through design practice,we present intuitive and specific design strategies and theories on the extraction,transformation and application of Jinan regional cultural symbols in the project design process.In conclusion,by analyzing the definition,characteristics,classification and communication mode of symbols,and expanding the study of semiotics and other related theoretical frameworks,transforming the use and modern interpretation from color,texture and form,and refining the design elements of Jinan regional cultural symbols,in order to find the design performance principles arising from the collision of semiotics and railroad passenger space.In the actual investigation,we summarize the current problems and draw on the design techniques of excellent cases at home and abroad,presenting the unique traditional cultural style of the city through regional cultural symbols,giving people a sense of belonging and a sense of access,transforming the traditional railroad passenger space and giving it new functional space and vitality.With the help of attractive and atmospheric regional cultural symbols,the railroad passenger space is planned and designed to become a diversified and culturally rich gateway space of the city,so that the unique soul of Chinese cities can be recreated through design.
