Research On Multi-sensory Experiential Landscape Design Of Elderly Care Community

With the continuous development of aging society,healthy aging has become an important proposition in the process of social development in China nowadays.As an important type of elderly community,its landscape environment has a close relationship with the health of elderly people.In order to further improve the quality of the landscape environment of senior living communities,this paper takes the concept of multi-sensory experience as the guide,and with the help of the Seniors’ Outdoor Survey(hereinafter referred to as SOS tool),a series of studies such as literature research,field research,case study,and practical application are conducted with Tai Kang Community Yue Yuan as the object.The work explores the multi-sensory experiential landscape design method for senior living communities,aiming to provide a healthy and comfortable landscape environment for seniors in senior living communities.The main research results are as follows.(1)Through literature research,combined with multiple field investigations and interviews with residents of Taikang Homes pension community,the current landscape environment of the pension community does not match the needs of the elderly to a certain extent.With the help of the SOS assessment tool,a detailed and comprehensive assessment of the landscape environment of Yueyuan Garden was carried out,which further clarified the problems existing in the multi-sensory landscape design of the environmental landscape of the retirement community.(2)This paper summarizes the main research directions and results of research on landscape environment and multisensory experience theory in senior living communities at home and abroad,and proposes the elements of multisensory experience landscape design by summarizing the characteristics and principles of multisensory experience concept: visual for space,form,color,light and shadow;auditory for natural sound,humanistic sound and artificial sound;olfactory for positive odor and negative odor;tactile for hard elements,soft elements and virtual The sense of taste is participatory and non-participatory taste.(3)Through field research and analysis of the sensory landscape design in the elderly landscape cases,we get insights of multi-sensory experience landscape design and propose the design principles of safety,easy identification,sociality,interactivity and locality;and analyze the application scenarios of multi-sensory experience design in the elderly community from the barrier-free space,recreation and healing space,spiritual and cultural space and leisure activity space;and propose to create visual experience,enhance The design method of creating visual experience,enhancing auditory experience,improving olfactory experience,strengthening tactile experience,enhancing taste experience and comprehensive use is proposed.(4)Combining with the research results,the multisensory experience landscape design transformation is carried out in the Yueyuan retirement community of Taikang House as an example,and the project overview,design concept,design theme,overall design and node design are elaborated to verify the rationality and scientificity of the design method.In summary,the multi-sensory experience concept can be used to comprehensively assess the problems of the elderly landscape environment with the help of SOS tools,so that it can be targeted to comprehensively guide the environmental landscape construction of the elderly community from the perspectives of vision,hearing,smell,touch,taste and comprehensive application,provide a more comfortable landscape environment for the healthy aging of the elderly,promote the physical and mental development of the elderly,and create a landscape environment space suitable for the elderly.
