In recent years,with the rapid socio-economic development in China,historical and cultural districts have faced continuous challenges in terms of architectural style preservation,continuity of landscape quality,and cultural value inheritance.Particularly,there are still many issues regarding the continuity of landscape quality.With the introduction of strategic requirements for high-quality development in the new era of China,the demands for landscape quality in historical districts are expected to be further enhanced,and the role in the protection,inheritance,activation,and utilization of historical districts has become increasingly important.This paper evaluates and optimizes the landscape quality of historical districts from the perspective of audio-visual perception,which provides practical reference significance for the activation and utilization of historical districts in the current context.Based on the in-depth investigation and analysis of the landscape quality status of Yangzhou historic districts by the comprehensive use of AHP-SD method,this paper summarizes the landscape quality evaluation system of historic districts based on the criteria of spatial environment composition,social culture and functional facilities,and determines 31 evaluation factors and their weights through questionnaire survey.Taking Dongguan Historic District as an example,this paper carried out a research on landscape quality evaluation based on audio-visual perception.Based on the analysis of the evaluation results,this paper proposed the landscape quality optimization strategy and implementation path of the historic district.Based on this,the landscape quality optimization practice of Wanzijie Historic District was carried out to complete the optimization design scheme and optimize the effectiveness of the optimization.The results showed that:(1)Landscape quality evaluation was carried out on 10 typical Spaces in Dongguan Historic District,and the results were as follows:B-2(84.18)>A-4(82.17)>A-2(79.94)>B-1(75.71)>A-3(65.24)>A-1(55.80)>C-2(49.06)>C-1(46.69)>C-3(24.22)>C-4(23.60).The results show that the tourists have higher evaluation on the square space and the four sections of the main street,and the B-2 comprehensive score is the highest.The evaluation results are basically consistent with the actual investigation,which confirms that the historical district landscape quality evaluation system established in this study has certain objectivity and practical guiding significance.(2)Based on the analysis and summary of the landscape quality evaluation results of Dongguan historic District,this paper puts forward the landscape quality optimization strategy of historic district.There are mainly the following aspects:First,in terms of visual quality,it includes protecting and restoring historical buildings,creating diverse green Spaces,coordinating block styles,enriching the visual landscape experience of blocks,and condensing historical and human elements.Secondly,in terms of auditory quality,it includes strategies such as reducing internal and external noise,introducing natural sound devices,and designing and constructing soundscapes.Finally,in terms of audio-visual perception,it includes strategies to strengthen digital technology display,increase interactive experience landscape and carry out audio-visual cultural activities.(3)Taking Wanzijie Historical District as an example,the effectiveness test results of landscape quality optimization practice show that:The landscape quality evaluation scores of the virtual scenes of the five typical Spaces after design were all improved compared with that of the current landscape,among which the scores of the virtual scenes of the three Spaces within the block(W-2,W-3,W-5)were significantly improved,and the scores of the W-2 space before and after the transformation were the most different,and the evaluation scores of the current landscape were 23.47.The evaluation score of the virtual scene after design is 79.34,which also indicates that the optimization strategy and implementation path of the historical district landscape quality based on audio-visual perception obtained in this paper has significant practical reference value for its optimization design practice.
