Research On The Design Of Historical And Cultural District Renovation Based On The Concept Of Micro-renewal

As urbanization accelerated and people’s living standards improved more and more,as one of the sites of urban cultural memory,the historic and cultural district has a great historical and cultural value.Contains a great deal of material and intangible cultural resources and occupies an irreplaceable position in urban development.On the other hand,historic and cultural districts are often located in the heart of the city and are inevitably affected and destroyed as a result of rapid urban expansion,with large numbers of commercial features flooding into historic and cultural districts,leading to an imbalance in the business structure of districts,severe commercialisation,and a progressive weakening of cultural attributes.Micro renewal,as an emergent theory of conservation and transformation of old neighbourhoods,is a more adaptable method to solve the sustainable development of current historical and cultural neighborhoods,with small-scale,gradual,and sustainable as the main concept.In this paper,the historical and cultural district Yantai Qishan Suocheng is taken as the object of research,and takes the concept of micro renewal as its theoretical basis,firstly,summarises research findings related to historical and cultural district and micro renewal,secondly,analyses the relevant excellent cases at home and abroad,and carries out a field survey of the courtyard space,single building,and environment of Qishan Suocheng historical and cultural district,and summarises sustainability,plurality,heritage,and locality in terms of the excellent cases and the field research,Based on the excellent cases and field research,four design principles of micro-renewal of the historical and cultural district,diversity,inheritance and locality,and three design measures of micro-renewal of historical and cultural district,namely extracting regional elements,creating fine nodes and upgrading service facilities,are summarized.Lastly,based on the summarized design principles and design countermeasures,the results of the retrofit design of five major nodes,the construction of service facilities and greenery in the historic and cultural district of Qishan Suocheng based on the concept of micro renewal is completed,which provide some references for other scholars of historic and cultural district retrofit design.
