| With social and economic development, many construction projects are undergoing continuous changes at the management level and technical level to meet the current situation of tight schedules and large tasks. In the course of similar projects,Company A had problems such as unclear division of project cost and schedule, unclear division of rights, responsibilities and benefits, and poor operability of construction design scheme, which led to cost overruns, delayed schedules and a significant drop in net profit. How to achieve effective schedule cost management in the case of complex projects and tight schedules is a problem that needs to be solved. This paper first introduces the relevant theories of project schedule management and cost control,as well as the basic concept of the earned value method, from three aspects: content, principles and research review,so as to lay the theoretical foundation for the subsequent research. Then,by analysing the project profile and objectives of the C Air Mail Processing Centre project,a plan for the project schedule is formulated, containing the project decomposition structure, the project construction responsibility allocation matrix, the determination of the project work sequential relationship, the project activity time estimation and the project schedule optimisation effect, and the project is proposed to be controlled through the critical path.Afterwards, the implementation process of the cost control work of the Air C mail processing centre project is elaborated and analysed;the earned value management data from December2020 to October 2021 is selected, and after the analysis of the case data collection,it is confirmed that the critical path and earned value method can show good monitoring and forecasting effects in its schedule and cost control in construction project cost management, and it is operable The article also discusses the use of earned value in construction cost management. The article also discusses the safeguards that should be provided in the use of the earned value approach to ensure that cost control is optimised. Finally,it is pointed out that the essence of the earned value method should be explored as soon as possible and its shortcomings filled,so that it can be commonly used in Chinese engineering construction and provide better support for economic, efficient and accurate domestic engineering management. |
