| In the long process of historical evolution, the development planning of traditional villages is rarely disturbed by human subjective factors. On the contrary,it is formed from the endogenous and autonomous development of the village itself. The unique rules of its boundary form are constantly influenced by external environmental factors, internal material factors and historical and cultural factors. The boundary form of traditional villages shows a unique regional feature on the two-dimensional plane of the settlement. At the same time, the boundary form also controls the internal space of the settlement to a certain extent. The boundary form is the external manifestation of the order of the inner space of the settlement, while the inner space is the motivation for the formation of the outer boundary form.Only when the boundary is formed, the existence of space can be defined and the boundary can have important significance.Yangquan City, located in the Taihang Mountains in the east of Shanxi Province,is the "throat" of the Jin-Hebei region. It is located at the junction of the second and third step landforms in China.Due to the Taihang Mountains on its boundary,a variety of mountain and river landforms have been formed. Therefore, this paper takes "the formation law of traditional village boundary form in Taihang Mountain area of East Shanxi Province" as the research theme to carry out research.Based on the Directory of Chinese Traditional Villages,45 traditional villages from 5batches in Yangquan City were selected as the research objects, and their marginal morphology was investigated and studied. From the three background levels of external environmental factors, internal material factors and historical and cultural factors, the influences and ways of each factor on the boundary form of traditional villages are qualitatively analyzed.Based on the analysis of village boundary characteristics, the morphological characteristics and type division are preliminarily understood. Then, starting from the two background levels of external environmental factors and internal material factors, the formation law of village boundary form was explored. The concept of patch shape index in ecology and fractal was used to analyze the correlation between village boundary attributes, external environmental factors and internal material factors by grey correlation analysis method, and the formation law and causes of boundary were obtained. Then,on this basis, historical and cultural factors are included in the research scope, and the formation rules and causes of village boundaries are further explored through examples by combining qualitative analysis and field investigation.Based on the analysis of boundary formation rules under the action of different external environmental factors,it is concluded that, among the geomorphic and topographic factors, the greater the average elevation and slope, the greater the impact on the boundary morphology, the more easily it is shaped into finger villages, and vice versa. In the water and river factors, the villages with the shortest distance from the water are easy to form zonal villages.Among the factors of traffic network, the villages that are closer to the shortest distance from the road tend to form banded villages. In addition, the combination of different factor weights will produce different results of village morphology.Based on the analysis of boundary forming rules under the action of different internal material elements,it is concluded that the shape coefficient and the degree of aggregation have great influence on the boundary form.Among the elements of public space, fractal dimension has great influence on boundary form.Among the street space elements, comprehensibility, global integration and synergy have great influence on the boundary form.Through the analysis of boundary formation rules under different historical and cultural factors,it is concluded that the clan culture, influenced by Chinese traditional Confucianism, constantly plays a decisive role in the architectural layout and geomantic site selection of traditional residential buildings, and constantly influences the generation of village boundary form. The residence form and organization pattern of folk houses with consanguinity, clan and settlement as the core are the prerequisite for the formation of villages, and also the basis for the construction and expansion of villages and the constant change of boundaries. The pass culture influences the village gradually from the development of defense function and residence function to complex function. The material elements inside the village are more complex, which has a great influence on the village boundary. In the continuous development of commercial villages, the boundary form of villages is impacted by the commercial post road culture, which constantly has a significant impact on the internal boundary form of villages. The paper integrates more in-depth and scientific research methods in the study of the boundary form of traditional villages.Combined with mathematical and quantitative data, this paper studies the correlation of factors that affect the boundary form of traditional villages, introducing a new quantitative research model for traditional village boundary research, which generally adopts qualitative research at present. It can be used as a reference for various types of current studies on boundary forms. Moreover,it can supplement and promote the boundary studies of relevant traditional villages to a certain extent, and provide ideas for the subsequent studies on the protection and development of traditional villages. In the context of the rapid development of modern society, human activities frequently affect the development of the boundary forms of traditional villages.Exploring the evolution law of the boundary forms is also of great practical significance for the cultural inheritance of traditional villages and their survival and development in modern society. |
