In recent years,the digital economy has developed vigorously,and the business environment has changed dramatically,which has brought opportunities and challenges to the enterprises.Under this circumstance,traditional Chinese manufacturing enterprises face the difficulties and must break through and seek new development paths.Facing with such a complex long-term work as enterprise transformation,systematic strategy is required,so Networking Strategy has become one of the key strategic choices for enterprise performance improvement.As a necessary and key condition for influencing the strategic behavior of enterprises,how to use digital opportunities to achieve strategic innovation and promote enterprise performance improvement has become a problem that enterprises concern.The existing literature mostly studies the definition and connotation of networking strategy from different traditional perspectives,but lacks the new connotation and behavior development with the digital context,and there is even less research on the mechanism between networking strategy and enterprise performance.Therefore,this paper constructs a theoretical framework of "networking strategy-enterprise performance" under the regulation of digital capabilities,tring to answer the following questions by analyzing the strategies and capabilities of two large manufacturing enterprises:Haier and Geely Group,combining with the existing literature comparison:(1)The connotation and behavior development of networking strategy in the context of digitalization;(2)How does a company’s digital capabilities play a role in the relationship between "networked strategy-enterprise performance" ?The internal logical mechanism of the three?The research results show that:(1)The networking strategy of enterprises in the digital context is not only the behavior of simply establishing network relationships with external partners at the social network level,but also a series of key networked decision-making activities for enterprises whit utilization of digital technology at the corporate strategic level,specifically including three dimensions: organizational networking transformation,business network collaborative upgrading,and the construction of interconnected business ecological innovation.Ultimately,traditional manufacturing enterprises will be able to create a digital business ecosystem that lays out global value networks,transform technical resources,and link network nodes to achieve intelligent collaborative manufacturing.On the basis of traditional manufacturing,they will create an interconnected product scenario ecosystem,transforming into a service-oriented manufacturing enterprise.(2)The improvement of enterprise performance follows the internal logical mechanism of "networking strategy-digital capabilities-enterprise performance".Specifically,digital capabilities promote changes in the strategic behavior of networking from three aspects: connectivity,collaboration,and empowerment.Among them,digital connectivity has an impact on the connectivity scope and efficiency of organizational networks,digital collaboration has an impact on the collaborative efficiency of network horizontal integration,resource allocation,and vertical business processes,and digital empowerment has an impact on enterprise product intelligence and overall upgrading of value networks to achieve innovative construction of enterprise interconnected ecological business,Ultimately,it has improved corporate performance in four areas,including employee learning and growth,business processes,users,and finance.This paper combs the social network theory and synergy theory,explores the development of enterprise networking strategy and the mechanism of promoting performance improvement in the context of digital economy,and is committed to opening the "black box" of enterprise network and the specific path of improving performance.This paper focuses on the regulatory role of digital capabilities,enriches and deepens the research and provides some inspiration for the transformation practice and strategic innovation of China’s traditional manufacturing industry.
