Research On Cultural Landscape Heritage Renewal In Yangzhou Section Of The Grand Canal

The Grand Canal is rich in cultural landscape heritage resources Yangzhou section,as the beginning of the history of the Grand Canal,has precipitated a unique urban landscape.With the change of natural environment and society,the landscape heritage of canal reach has been affected to different degrees.It is of great significance to protect and inherit the natural and cultural heritage of Yangzhou Canal culture.First of all,starting from the practical problems of the poor protection of the cultural heritage in the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal and the convergence of cultural landscape styles,the author analyzed and summarized the theoretical and practical research status of the protection and renewal of the cultural heritage and the canal cultural landscape heritage at home and abroad.On the basis of the clear research purpose and significance,the author introduced relevant concepts and theoretical basis to analyze the relevant cases at home and abroad This paper summarizes the concept of Grand Canal cultural landscape heritage and establishes the basic cognition of the renewal of Grand Canal cultural landscape heritage Secondly,the paper sorts out the historical context of the city and canal changes in Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal,lists the list of canal material cultural heritage points and basic geographic information within the research scope,and analyzes the composition and structure of cultural heritage points Then,the cultural characteristics and spatial characteristics of the cultural landscape heritage in the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal were discussed.Qualitative and quantitative methods were adopted to analyze and summarize the identification methods,composition attributes,expression methods and spatial distribution characteristics of the cultural landscape heritage in the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal through field research combined with GIS neighbor analysis and buffer zone analysis.The following research results were obtained:(1)Construct the classification table of cultural characteristics of heritage and the index system of classification and recognition of cultural characteristics.(2)Make it clear that the cultural characteristics of Yangzhou garden are the main cultural characteristics,and further identify the two key characteristics of Yangzhou garden culture: the regional style of the central and the north and the poetic and elegant literati feelings.(3)The expression carriers of cultural characteristics are summarized as: landscape and construction consumables,local structures,native plants,landscape sketches,regional colors,folk customs and folk art;Cultural features can be expressed through proper preservation of historic sites,diversified restoration of historic sites,secondary creation of refined cultural elements,and immersive experience.(4)The spatial distribution type of heritage is agglomeration,showing a combination of linearity and radiation.(5)The renewal space of cultural landscape heritage in the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal is divided into three levels:the core layer(3.37 km expansion on both sides of the Grand Canal),the tight layer(3.37～4.78 km expansion on both sides of the Grand Canal)and the coordination layer(4.78～37.24 km expansion on both sides of the Grand Canal).According to this,the identification process of cultural characteristics and the expression level,carrier and way are provided for the renewal,and the scope and level of the renewal are determined.Finally,the cultural landscape heritage renewal planning of the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal is carried out.Four renewal strategies are proposed from four aspects of space,culture,ecology and management,namely,reshaping water city network,building cultural highland,restoring riverfront ecology,and collaborative planning and management.Then the key area Sanwan Canal Park is selected for detailed design.From the four aspects of heritage protection,cultural penetration,ecological restoration and spatial series,the thesis aims to revive canals and rivers,inherit canal culture,link urban river space,and create a comprehensive cultural,tourism and leisure experience space with Yangzhou garden culture as the background and modern canal landscape functions.
