In recent years,with the acceleration of urbanization in China,the traditional settlement texture space in many regions,especially in the underdeveloped areas of Southwest China,has been repeatedly damaged,posing a challenge for the continuous and effective protection and renewal management of traditional settlements in these areas.Faced with the large number of protected building groups,it is difficult to meticulously weave and timely repair and maintain them in a limited time,and at the same time,it is also prone to the problem of homogenization of design schemes.Traditional settlement protection and restoration work faces difficulties.With the continuous development of digital technology,new ideas and methods have emerged to solve this series of problems.How to use digital information technology to provide effective assistance for the protection and renewal of traditional settlements,and how to use new technological methods to address the problems of excessive workload in the design of large-scale texture patching updates,subjectivity of traditional methods,and insufficient flexibility in continuous protection have become increasingly important research topics..This research aims to introduce digital generation technology into the traditional texture spatial weaving design of ancient commercial settlements in the southwest region.Using City Engine as a tool platform,the spatial morphology characteristics of ancient commercial settlements analyzed by type morphology methods are translated into a computer constraint relationship parameter set and generation code,and an application method of digital generation technology in the texture weaving design of Simao Old Street is proposed,On the premise of ensuring that the automatically generated scheme conforms to the objective laws of traditional texture spatial morphology,it can better assist in the mass maintenance of traditional settlement texture group weaving design in Simao Old Street,and also provide data platform support for the management of its spatial texture dynamic database,in order to provide exploration and new ideas for the actual work of other similar traditional settlements in the southwest region.
