| In the opening year of the 14 th Five-Year Plan,the state clearly observed that it might establish a contemporary education system,and the importance of secondary vocational education as the foundation of the modern vocational education system cannot be overstated.The continual promotion of the development of ecological civilization and also the people’s pursuit of a higher living environment has brought new opportunities for the development of the gardening industry.However,these days,the talent training model in garden technology is mostly focused on the transfer of basic knowledge and skills,and the traditional teaching model has become difficult to adapt to the requirements of the production reality and industrial development of enterprises for the training of talents.The course Garden Plants,as one of the main professional foundation courses of the secondary vocational school of garden technology,is the cornerstone of professional learning.Therefore,the degree of students’ mastery of knowledge and skills related to garden plants is important for their subsequent professional studies and affects the development of their vocational abilities.Firstly,determine the direction and content of the research by collecting,reading and combing through the relevant literature.Secondly,interviews and surveys were conducted with students and teachers.After collating and analyzing the interview data and the results of classroom observation,it was found that there were problems in the teaching of the secondary vocational Garden Plants course,such as a single teaching method,students’ lack of interest in learning,poor learning initiative and motivation,little classroom interaction and low classroom participation of students.Based on this,this study focus on the study of garden trees,selecting three sections: “Main morphological characteristics of garden plants”,“Ornamental characteristics of garden trees” and “Identification of tree species and garden applications”,applying three teaching methods from the actionoriented teaching concept: project teaching method,case study teaching method and taskdriven teaching method,are used to design and practice the three sections of the course,and the teaching effectiveness is evaluated after practice,taking into account students’ interviews,teachers’ feedback and their own reflections.The study concludes that the teaching design and practical application which based on the concept action-oriented for the course Garden Plants,taking the actual vocational action field needs as the basis,driving by typical work tasks,and designing the course teaching modules according to the requirements of vocational positions,can significantly enhance students’ learning initiative and enthusiasm,deepen students’ memory and understanding of professional knowledge,cultivate students’ vocational ability,and also enhance the professional competence of teachers.In addition,the application of the action-oriented teaching concept in the course of Garden Plants can also provide a useful trial and reference for the reform of the curriculum of the secondary school landscape technology profession in the future. |
