| Ringworm is a general term for feline dermatophytosis,which is a chronic,highly contagious,zoonotic skin disease that has serious effects on human and animal health.Ringworm in cats has the characteristics of long course,difficult to cure,and easy recurrence.In this study,41 Chinese herbal medicines were selected,and specific strains were isolated from clinical cases of feline ringworm,and the in vitro antibacterial effect of single Chinese medicine and compound Chinese medicine,the safety and clinical efficacy of compound Chinese medicine were studied.Aim to study a better traditional Chinese medicine preparation for treating ringworm in cats.The experimental results are as follows:(1)By collecting the diseased materials of 56 cases of feline ringworm to isolate and culture fungi and bacteria,82 strains of fungi and 36 strains of bacteria were isolated.Through the colony growth characteristics,microscopic examination and PCR identification,the obtained fungi are Microsporum canis,Candida albicans,Aspergillus fumigatus,Aspergillus niger,Aspergillus versicolor;the obtained bacteria are Staphylococcus aureus,Staphylococcus saprophyticus,Staphylococcus epidermidis,Stenotrophomonas maltophilia.Among them,20% were pure fungal infections,and 57% were mixed fungal and bacterial infections.Among them,Microsporum canis was the main infection,accounting for 77% of the total cases;Staphylococcus aureus was the main bacteria in the cases of mixed infection with fungi and bacteria;Followed by infection with Staphylococcus epidermidis accounted for 28%.(2)Through the agar punching method and the reference M38-A liquid microdilution method,gall,myrobalan and ebony have the best antibacterial effect on Microsporum canis,followed by Baiwei and Shegan.ebony has the best antibacterial effect on Candida albicans,Followed by Myrobalan and Baiwei.Myrobalan and pomegranate peel have the best antibacterial activity against Aspergillus versicolor,followed by Galla japonica,Coptis chinensis,Wumei,and Baiwei,Coptis has better antibacterial effect on Aspergillus fumigatus.Coptis chinensis,gall,myrobalan,ebony and schisandra have better effects on Staphylococcus aureus.gall and myrobalan have the best antibacterial effects on staphylococcus saprophyticus,followed by Qinpi and Schisandra.pomegranate peel and myrobalan have the best inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus epidermidis.The bacterial activity was the best,followed by Coptis chinensis,Polygonum cuspidatum,Galla japonica,Aloe vera,Schisandra chinensis.Galla japonica,Myrobalan and Moutan Bark had the best bacteriostatic effect on Stenotrophomonas maltophilia,followed by Black Plum,Polygonum cuspidatum and Schisandra chinensis.(3)Through the agar punching method and the reference M38-A liquid microdilution method,it was found that the traditional Chinese medicine compound three(composed of ebony,myrobalan,coptis,phellodendron,shegan,tujingpi,baiwei,gall)had the best in vitro antibacterial effect.The traditional Chinese medicine prescription has good bacteriostatic effect on the isolated 5 kinds of fungi and 4 kinds of bacteria.(4)The self-made traditional Chinese medicine compound was applied to the depilated rats,and the skin irritation reaction of the intact skin group and the damaged skin group was observed before administration,1h after administration,and after administration on the 7th day(twice/d,1m L/time).40 Kunming mice were selected for low,medium and high(4000mg/kg,8000 mg/kg,12000 mg/kg)doses of traditional Chinese medicine and the maximum tolerated dose(36000 mg/kg)were measured,and were observed continuously for 7 days.The results show that the compound Chinese medicine has no skin irritation and no toxicity,and can be safely used in clinical practice.(5)Observing 20 cases of cat ringworm from the Animal Hospital of Anhui Agricultural University,10 cases each in the control group(ketoconazole ointment)and the experimental group(anti-ringworm liquid).The results showed that 8 cases in the experimental group were cured,1 case was markedly effective,and 1 case was improved;in the control group,7 cases were cured,1 case was markedly effective,and 2 cases were improved. |
