ObjectThere are many long-term bedridden patients in the hospital, and there are many pressure ulcers and other complications among them. Therefore, this article analyzes the difference between the prognosis of patients with sacrococcygeal pressure ulcers of degree III and above treated with VSD negative pressure closed drainage technology and those with sacrococcygeal pressure ulcers of degree III and above treated with traditional debridement and dressing change,so as to provide reference for the selection of clinical treatment methods of sacrococcygeal pressure ulcers. Methods and materialsA case-control study of retrospective analysis was conducted on 70 patients with pressure ulcers of grade III or higher at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shenyang Medical College from September,2020 to November2022,using ststisticalanalysis. They were divided into two groups:the negative pressure closed drain age group and the traditional debridement and dressing group.By statistical analysis, the relevant risk factors can be identified by listing the pertinent factors that could have an effect on the treatment results;P<0.05 is deemed ststistically significant.ResultsBetween the ages of 60 and 98,the impact of grade III and above sacrococcygeal pressure ulcers on both groups of patients was basically the same, with an average age of(80.33 ± 9.84)years,P<0.05.However,in terms of women, the elderly, hypertension, chronic diabetes and other related aspects, after experimental investigation,it was found that there was no statistically significant difference in dressing change time between the two groups,P>0.05.The average number of dressing changes in the VSD treatment group was(7.67 ± 1.93),while the average number of dressing changes in the traditional debridement group was(22.15 ± 3.11),with a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The average length of hospitalization in the VSD treatment group was(14.13 ±2.17)days,while the average number of dressing changes in the traditional debridement group was(34.83 ± 3.64)days,with a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05)Δ The average value of albumin was(-0.27 ± 4.81)g/L,while the average value of traditional debridement group was(-0.44 ± 4.59)g/L.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05)Δ The average hemoglobin value was(-6.00 ± 17.00)g/L,while the average value in the traditional debridement group was(-7.57 ± 17.98)g/L.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05)Δ The average value of potassium ions was(0.06 ± 0.60)mmol/L,while the average value of the traditional debridement group was(0.04 ± 0.84)mmol/L.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups of data(P>0.05).Based on this result,it indicates that there was no significant difference in the nutritional indicators of patients between the two treatment methods. The average cost of implementing VSD treatment group was(4637.06 ±2200.05)yuan,while the average cost of the traditional dressing group was(614.57 ± 85.25)yuan,and the difference between the two groups of data was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionFor the treatment of sacrococcygeal pressure sores of grade III and above,VSD technology has a significant effect, which is significantly better than the traditional treatment scheme. Therefore,it can be popularized in clinical practice.
