PurposeBy observing the effects of Qutoran Huayu Xuanbi Group prescription on glucose metabolism index, nerve conduction velocity,Toronto score and TCM syndrome score of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(phlegm-stasis obstruction type),Qutoran Huayu Xuanbi Group prescription was evaluated,in the clinical efficacy, providing ideas diabetic peripheral neuropathy in clinical TCM treatment.MethodSeventy patients with diabetes mellitus and peripheral neuropathy admitted to Endocrinology Department 1,Qinhuangdao Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Collect patients from October 2021 to October 2022.Numerical table method was used to randomly divide two groups, there were 35 people in the each group. The control group was given routine hypoglycemic treatment+ mecobalamine 0.5mg,three times a day, orally; The treatment group was given conventional hypoglycemic treatment + mecobalamine 0.5mg,three times a day, oral + expectorant and stasis Xuanbi formula, one dose a day,two times a day, with warm water. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks, and the time is a treatment phase. The changes of fasting blood glucose(FBG),2h PG,Hb A1 c,nerve conduction velocity,Toronto score and TCM syndrome score in 2 groups before and after treatment were statistically analyzed.SPSS26.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Result(1)The response rate in the treatment group was 90.32%,The total effective rate was 61.29% in the control group. The statistical difference was stark(P<0.01).(2)Before and after treatment of the treatment group,FBG,2h PG and Hb A1 c the difference was significant(P<0.05)in statistics;before and after treatment FBG and 2h PG has differences(P<0.05)in control group;Hb A1 c was not significant differences in statistics(P>0.05).FBG and Hb A1 c were significant differences between treatment group and control group(P<0.05),but no significant differences in 2h PG between treatment and control group(P>0.05).(3)Median nerve conduction velocity and common peroneal nerve conduction velocity before and after treatment in the treatment group and control group, that have difference(P<0.05).Median nerve conduction velocity and common peroneal nerve conduction velocity after treatment were compared, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05)between treatment group and control group.(4)Toronto scores, before treatment, that haven’t any significant difference(P>0.05)in the treatment group and control group. After treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)between treatment group and control group. The difference, between the treatment group before and after treatment, was statistically significant(P<0.05),compared before and after treatment is different,it has significant(P<0.05)in the control group.(5)Before and after treatment,in the treatment group, the scores of 5TCM syndroms were compared, including numbness, tingling, dry mouth, sticky mouth and sticky stool, with the difference was strike(P<0.01),fatigue,head heavy and faint, chest tightness and dark purple skin, with a total of 4 TCM syndroms. The difference has to be meaningful instatistics(P<0.05).Before and after treatment,in the control group,6TCM syndrome scores were compared, including numbness, tingling, xerostomia, fatigue, sticky mouth and dull chest, and The difference has to be meaningful instatistics(P<0.05);while 3 TCM syndrome scores were compared of difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),including head weight and confusion, sticky stool and dark purple skin.Compared with the control group after treatment, there were 8 TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group, including numbness, tingling, dry mouth, weakness, sticky mouth, stuffy chest, sticky stool and dark purple skin, that has difference and it makes sense(P<0.05).Touzhonghunmeng has little difference(P>0.05),in the treatment group.(6)The total scores of TCM syndroms were statistically significant(P<0.01)in the treatment group before and after treatment; The differences are stark of control group before and after treatment(P<0.01).After treatment was stark(P<0.01)in the treatment group and control group.ConclusionExpectorant Huayu Xuanbi Group prescription can reduce Toronto score and TCM syndrome score of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(phlegm-stasis blocking collaterals)patients, improve median nerve and common peroneal nerve conduction velocity, and enhances the hypoglycemic effect of western medicine, which is mainly manifested in the reduction of fasting blood glucose,2 hours postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin value,The clinical effect of eliminating phlegm and removing stasis Xuanbi group prescription combined with mecobalamine tablets is superior to that of mecobalamine tablets alone, which can be widely used in clinic.
