One of the features of modern Chinese grammar is the existence of a large number of predicate and complement structures, also known as complements.Acquisition of complements is a major difficulty for foreign learners.Chinese people often use complements in daily communication, while many foreigners do not have complements in their mother tongue. Therefore, for international students, complex complements make students face many challenges in learning, and many errors are formed in the process of using them. This paper consists of six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly explains the research background and significance, summarizes the basic literature of previous studies, and explains the research object, research content, research methods and theoretical basis. In chapter two,the HSK dynamic composition corpus is used as the foothold of bias analysis of Directional complement“chu”and “qu”,and the corpus is collected and sorted out.The third chapter classifies the error types, selects the typical error data from the collected error corpus, summarizes the error types:error plus error, omission error, mixed error and collocation error, and analyzes and explains the error types. The fourth chapter finds out the causes of errors by combining the frequency of errors, the learner’s country and other subjective and objective factors. It includes target language generalization, negative transfer of mother tongue, complexity of trend complement and subjective factors of students. The fifth chapter puts forward teaching suggestions for the reasons of errors. The sixth chapter is the conclusion, which summarizes and reflects on the whole paper.
