| Taking 58 Chinese teachers who went to the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia from 2015 to 2020 as the research object,this paper focuses on the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teachers who went to the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia,analyzes the relevant influencing factors and gives corresponding suggestions by using various research methods such as literature analysis,questionnaire and interview,in order to improve the cross-cultural adaptability of Chinese teachers who went to Zambia and promote the development of Chinese education in Africa.Firstly,this paper expounds the reason,purpose and significance of the topic,explains the research methods used in the paper,combs the relevant research results in the academic community,and highlights the innovation.Secondly,through the rational design of research problems,the research object is fully and deeply investigated.The author conducted a questionnaire survey on Chinese teachers of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia from four aspects: life adaptation,work adaptation,social communication adaptation and psychological adaptation.The survey found that Chinese teachers who went to the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia had the worst adaptation in life,general adaptation in social communication,good psychological adaptation and the best adaptation in work.On this basis,the author makes a single factor analysis on the personal information of Chinese teachers of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia,and summarizes the factors affecting the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teachers at the Confucius Institute of the University of Zambia,including age,professional background and related training.Then,according to the survey results,individual in-depth interviews were conducted with five representative and typical teachers.Combined with the specific cases provided by them,the specific problems encountered by Chinese teachers of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia in the process of cross-cultural adaptation were summarized.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions from the perspective of Confucius Institute itself and harmony. |
