This report is based on the practice of E-C translation. The official Publications of Issue 39,41 and 42 from World Tourism Organization was selected as the source text.Guided by the eco-translatology theory, the translator summarizes and analyzes the problems and difficulties encountered in the translation practice, and then discusses and probes into the translation principles and methods applicable to the informative texts about tourism. The original text mainly introduces the meetings and events organized by the World Tourism Organization to restore the world tourism economy after the pandemic;it also intends to promote the recovery and development of the world tourism industry for the purpose of transmitting information. As informative text the official news bulletin of the World Tourism Organization is authoritative, instructive and scientific. Its language is concise, accurate and logical. The translator was guided by the three-dimensional transformation of eco-translatology proposed by Hu Gengshen to analyze the translation of informative texts from linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions. In order to reproduce the features of the informative text and its language use,the translator applies such translation methods as repetition, division, voice change, replacement, annotation, amplification, inversion and conversion to make adaptive selection of three-dimensional transformation. The applicabilty of eco-translatology is proved when translating informative texts,so the current report may offer some guidance and reference to similar translation task under the guidance of eco-translatology,which can further improve the translation quality and reproduce the language characteristics and genre of the source text.
