| Proverb is stereotyped sentences created by the masses in production or life and passed on orally,reflecting people’s experience and aspirations for life summed up from practice.As we all know,China and Vietnam have had frequent exchanges in various fields since ancient times,so Vietnamese language and culture have also been deeply influenced by China,and there are many similarities,including proverb.Although there are many similarities between Chinese proverb and Vietnamese proverb,Chinese proverb is difficult to grasp for Vietnamese students.Therefore,this thesis analyzes the problems encountered by Vietnamese students in the process of learning and using Chinese proverb through the comparative analysis of Chinese proverb and Vietnamese proverb,the investigation and analysis of proverb in textbooks,and the investigation of the use of Chinese proverb by Vietnamese students,and thus suggestions for the learning and teaching of Chinese proverb.It includes eight parts:The first part: The introduction.Indicate the research context,research significance,research theory,research methods and data sources of the research.The second part: A brief review and summary of the previous research results,including the research overview of the Chinese proverb ontology,the Vietnamese proverb ontology,the review of comparative studies of Chinese proverb and Vietnamese proverb,and the research summary of the teaching of Chinese proverb as a foreign language.The third part: Introduces the definition,origin and characteristics of Chinese proverb and Vietnamese proverb.The fourth part: Compare the syntactic structure and semantics of Chinese proverb and Vietnamese proverb,point out the similarities and differences.The fifth part: The statistics,classification and analysis of the proverb appearing in the textbook of “Chinese Course” are carried out to point out the deficiencies in the compiling of proverb in this textbook: not enough proverb explanations,incomplete paraphrasing content,proverb practice questions are not comprehensive and low recurring rate of proverb.The sixth part: Using the proverb in the textbook "Chinese Course" as the corpus of the questionnaire,it investigates and analyzes the use and errors of Chinese proverb by Vietnamese students.From the results of the questionnaire survey,the types of errors are summarized,including writing errors,expression errors,semantic errors and pragmatic errors.Find out the reasons for the errors from the survey results and types of errors,including the negative transfer of mother tongue,negative transfer of target language knowledge,the influence of students’ learning strategies,and the limitations of proverb in textbooks.The seventh part: Based on the results of the above investigation and research,suggestions are made for Vietnamese students’ proverb learning,teaching and proverb writing in textbooks.Specifically,teachers can use comparative analysis methods in teaching to avoid negative transfer of the mother tongue,correct errors in time to avoid negative transfer of the target language,create actual situations for teaching,and use various teaching resources.Vietnamese students should adjust their learning methods and use network resources to learn Chinese proverb.In terms of compiling proverb in textbooks,it is necessary to select proverb suitable for students’ Chinese proficiency,improve the content of proverb interpretations,and perfect proverb exercises.The eighth part: Conclusion,summarizes the research of this article,and explains the innovation and shortcomings of this article. |
