The Study On Proverbs In Chinese Proverb Collection

Chinese Proverb Collection compiled by Zhu Jiefan,a scholar from Taiwan,is a significant research literature of more than 5 million words,integrating the collection and analysis of proverbs.The bookincludes a large amount of proverb entries,abundant definitions and relevant materials,and its proverbs are with distinctive characteristics.With the proverbs collected in the book as objects of study and based on the proverb entries,abundant definitions and relevant materials and theories,the thesis is an attempt to study proverb 's locality,nationality,inheritance and variability.The thesis is composed of four parts.The first part is mainly the basic overview of Chinese Proverb Collection including introduction to the author,the process of compiling this book,the main contents and its compilation characteristics.The second part makes an analysis of categorizing proverbs from the regional perspective,the content of proverbs and the locality embedded in the language of proverbs in Chinese Proverb Collection.As this book is the first edition of proverbs of ethnic minorities and puts forward the concept of "Chinese proverb",the third part focuses on the nationality of the proverbs in Chinese Proverb Collection,all of which have formed distinctive national characteristics of proverbs.The fourth part analyzes the inheritance and variability of proverbs in Chinese Proverb Collection.By analyzing and categorizing the locality,nationality,inheritance and variability of these proverbs,the thesis attempts to explore the achievements and value of the study of proverbs in Chinese Proverb Collection so as to benefit the contemporary study of proverbs.
