Study On Brick Carving Art Of Traditional Dwellings Along The Silk Road In Shaanxi

Shaanxi is the starting point of the Silk Road and a hub of cultural exchange between the East and the West.The Silk Road not only promotes friendly exchanges among countries along the route but also provides a good platform for artistic exchanges among them.Trade exchanges,religious dissemination,and ethnic migrations all have profound impacts on cultural changes and artistic developments.Due to the influence of geography,history,and cultural environment,Shaanxi has gradually developed diverse traditional residential buildings.Among them,traditional residential buildings in Shaanxi along the Silk Road are the products of the integration of Silk Road culture and regional culture.The decorative and carving arts in traditional residential buildings have become a unique cultural element,reflecting the influence of different cultural exchanges.In response to the call of the Party and the state to inherit excellent culture and protect cultural heritage,this article takes brick carving,art,and culture as the combination point and conducts a systematic study on the brick carving art of traditional folk houses along the Shaanxi section of the Silk Road.Firstly,relevant materials are collected,and useful information is summarized as theoretical support for subsequent research.Meanwhile,based on existing professional knowledge,representative traditional residential buildings along the Silk Road in Shaanxi’s cities are surveyed in person.Relevant data is obtained through methods such as photo collection and on-site visits,providing a foundation for the research of this paper.Furthermore,based on the perspective of this discipline,guided by relevant theories and research methods,we conduct in-depth research on the brick carving art of traditional residential buildings along the Shaanxi section of the Silk Road.Based on extensive research materials,this paper sorts and analyzes the brick carving art of traditional residential buildings along the Shaanxi section of the Silk Road,focusing on studying the existing residential buildings with typical and universal significance.And based on the theme and its relationship with the Silk Road,the traditional brick carving art of the Shaanxi section along the Silk Road is sorted,summarized,and analyzed,exploring its cultural characteristics and connotations reflected in traditional residential buildings,and exploring the traces of Silk Road culture.The paper analyzes the traditional brick carving art of Shaanxi section along the Silk Road,exploring its cultural characteristics in residential buildings and its relationship with Silk Road culture.It advocates for effective protection of this cultural heritage with historical witness and cultural exchange value,and for innovation and development of this valuable brick carving decorative art.It also provides some ideas for the future protection,restoration,and innovative development of traditional residential building decoration in Shaanxi.
