In recent years,video games and animated films have been in a rapid development stage,and their related IP addresses have a strong attraction for the "Net Generation".When video games adapt animated movies,they often receive great attention.Compared to live movies adapted from video games,animated movies are more easily accepted by fans and audiences.In recent years,there have been numerous successful cases of video game adaptation of animated films.Therefore,it is of great significance to comb and study the laws and methods of video game adaptation of animated films,which will provide effective reference and guidance for Chinese animation and game creators.This topic takes the adaptation of video games to animated films from a cross media perspective as the research content,and combines historical relevant materials and cases to specifically analyze the phenomenon of video game adaptation to animated films.Starting from the similarities between video games and animated films,this article demonstrates the potential of video game adaptation of animation,analyzes the changes in narration,images,space,values,and aesthetics caused by media changes during the adaptation process,and expounds the gradual growth of game animation from cutscenes to big movies in the historical development process.In this process,the e-commerce industry derived from games has also played a certain role in promoting it.This article is divided into four parts:The first chapter mainly expounds the advantages of video game adaptation of animated films from two aspects: the current development situation and basicelements of video game adaptation of animated films.The second chapter specifically analyzes the differences in narrative changes and visual expression that occur when video games are adapted to animated movies.The third chapter analyzes the ambiguity and clarity of moral standards in video game adaptation animation movies,the impact of different regional cultures onthe core values of the work,and the aesthetic changes brought about by the current development of game engines.The fourth chapter describes the commercial development of video game adapted animation films and the commercial prospects of video game adapted animation films stimulated by the e-commerce industry chain.
