| This paper is mainly based on the Dunhuang mural "The Painting of the Deer King Born" in the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties,and discusses its historical background,painting characteristics and influence on my art practice from the perspective of practice."The Deer King Born" is based on the Indian "Lulu Born" as the motif."Bunsen" is a story about Sakyamuni before becoming a Buddha.The story of "The Deer King’s Own Life" mainly comes from the fables,myths,folk legends and so on that have been circulated for a long time in India.This article starts from three parts.The first part is about the background of the time of the "The Painting of the Deer King",the cultural background of its time,the relevant historical stories circulated,and the overall style of the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes during the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties.The second part is about the artistic characteristics of "The Painting of the King of Deer".It mainly discusses the composition and layout of the work,the use of color,modeling,and the use of material language in the picture.The third part is based on the study of Dunhuang frescoes,to explore the inspiration and influence he received in his creation.The imitation and research of Dunhuang murals is an important way for me to deeply understand Chinese murals and master painting techniques during my graduate school.It overturned my understanding of traditional painting concepts and techniques.The continuous reference and study of murals also gave me a new understanding of my graduation creation. |
