With the rapid development of the information age,advanced technologies such as big data processing and artificial intelligence have become increasingly mature,making their inroad into translation industry and exerting a great impact upon it.Under the backdrop of Internet-based big data,technical vocabulary takes on the characteristics of rapidity,diversification,large volume,etc.The rapid development of new technologies has put forward diversified demands for language services and especially new requirements for translators’ translation competence.The constant emergence of translation technology software has changed the traditional mode of translation.Translators have to face new challenges,requiring them to be empowered by new technologies.This thesis analyzes the components of translation competence based on the translation competence model and translation competence acquisition model proposed by PACTE research Group in Barcelona,Spain.At the same time,it is pointed out that technology-driven software application competence plays an important role in improving translation competence,especially the accuracy of technical translation.Then,taking technical terminology translation as the research object,this thesis explores how to improve the accuracy of terminology translation with the aid of information technology and technical applications to Improve the technical competence of translation. |
