Artificial Intelligence(AI)has always been a hot and controversial topic in the field of science and technology since its advent. This report, based on the simulated consecutive interpretation of the AI documentary—The Big Reset, discusses two types of interpreting principles according to the interpretive triangle model, which are Transcoding and Deverbalization. In this report,Transcoding is only used for the translation of names, places, numbers, and terminology, while Deverbalization is the major principle adopted in the rest of the cases. In terms of Deverbalization, the author has listed four kinds of major problems during the interpreting, which are redundancy, ambiguity, complex sentences, and long paragraphs, and come up with some methods to solve these problems respectively for better Deverbalization. All the above are illustrated with specific examples. This interpreting practice not only enriches the author’s experience, but also reveals the author’s strengths and weakness, which,in turn, lays a good foundation for future scientific and technological interpreting.Besides,as there are not so many studies concerning AI documentary interpretation, this report is expected to help more people, including the author,to further understand Artificial Intelligence and get to know AI better from a more objective view, and to provide some references for the same type of researches if needed.
