The in-depth development of economic globalization has made international cultural exchanges more and more frequent,and cultural teaching has become more and more important for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Language and culture blend with each other.Language is the external manifestation of culture,and culture is the spiritual core of language.The two are closely related and inseparable.Cultural words are an important bridge connecting language and culture.Cultural word teaching has become an important cornerstone for cultivating Chinese learners to improve their intercultural communication skills and understand Chinese culture.Although there are more and more studies on cultural words in today’s academic circles,there are still very few studies on the analysis of cultural words with the whole set of Chinese textbooks as the research object,so the suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language are still scattered and one-sided.Therefore,this paper takes the cultural words in the six comprehensive textbooks in the "Developing Chinese" textbook as the research object,and conducts different types of classification and data statistics for the cultural words in each textbook,summarizes its laws and shortcomings,and puts forward Suggestions on the arrangement of cultural words and the teaching of cultural words in textbooks of Chinese as a foreign language are given,It is concluded that the setting of cultural words in textbooks should be further in line with students’ learning and teachers’ teaching rules.The thesis is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly includes the source and background of the subject,the research content and method,the general situation of the research on cultural words at home and abroad,and analyzes the innovations and deficiencies of this thesis.The second chapter mainly introduces the ontology of cultural words,including the definition and classification of cultural words.The third chapter firstly categorizes the cultural words in the six textbooks of "Developing Chinese" in the order of elementary,intermediate and advanced,and then categorizes the cultural words in the textbooks according to the two categories of direct cultural words and indirect cultural words.Classify and analyze the data from the difficulty of arranging cultural words in textbooks and the teaching of cultural words.The fourth chapter is based on the analysis of the cultural word data in the third chapter,and puts forward suggestions on the arrangement of cultural words in the textbook "Developing Chinese",the teaching of cultural words for teachers and the learning of cultural words for foreign students.The last part summarizes the article and reflects on the shortcomings of this research.
