| During the three-month internship in China Daily from July to October 2021,the translator participated in the English-Chinese news translation project.And news articles from The Guardian accounts for a large proportion.The report analyzes the problems encountered by the translator in the translation of news articles from The Guardian by comparing the first version and final version,based on the"Comprehension,Expression and Adaption"(CEA)framework proposed by Li Changshuan.At the same time,the translator also summarizes what she has learned from this practice,hoping to inspire and help other translation learners.This report is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the translation project and translation materials.The second chapter presents the translation process,describing what the translator has done before,during and after the translation.The third chapter introduces the framework of "Comprehension,Expression and Adaption",and analyzes comprehension,expression and adaption respectively in combination with relevant theories.The fourth chapter is the case analysis,the main body of the report.Specific examples are given to analyze the problems and their solutions in the three aspects of comprehension,expression and adaption.In terms of comprehension,the translator mainly uses internal analysis and external tools to help correctly understand the original text;in terms of expression,the translator tries to ensure correct collocations,use precise words,and avoid westernized Chinese.In terms of adaption,the translator makes some adjustments by amplification,simplification and modifying the original form to better convey the information of the original text.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.The translator suggests what translators should be aware of in the study and practice of translation,including improving the language competence,accumulating extensive knowledge,developing search ability and repeatedly proofreading the translation. |
