| Connecting High School and College Writing is an educational academic work,which belongs to informational text.The main function of informational text is to convey information and emphasize the authenticity,accuracy and readability of content.The translation practice is based on the client’s requirements that the translated text should truly and accurately express the language characteristics and content of Japanese text,reproduce the actual situation of the cohesion of Japanese writing courses in senior high schools and universities,clarify the strategies and practices of the hierarchical cohesion of Japanese writing ability training,and conform to the language expression habits of Japanese education,teaching and academic language,as well as the reading habits of Japanese education researchers.To meet the requirements,the translation work follows skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule of Skopos Theory as the theoretical guidance.This translation practice report mainly takes the content of Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 of the book as the translated text,and discusses and analyzes the translation strategies of pedagogical texts under the guidance of the three rules of Skopos Theory.Since there are many pedagogical terms,long attributive sentences and intrinsic nouns in the text,the author fully considers the requirements of the client and the basic information for the readers,and takes skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule of Skopos Theory as guidance to carry out translation practice with six translation strategies,including voice conversion,semantic conversion,extended translation,partial translation,zero translation and annotated translation.This paper draws a conclusion that Skopos theory has guiding significance to educational texts.The report hopes to bring some reference value to the translation of pedagogical literature. |
