| Nowadays,advanced science and technology may prove to be a momentous support for national prosperity and stability while research and practice in science and technology are increasingly developing.The top priorities for improving the comprehensive national strength of the country are to master the latest information on science and technology and broaden the application fields of science and technology.Yet scientific and technological translation is the key bridge to achieve this goal.Therefore,this translation practice report selects part of the context of the FY2009-2034 Unmanned Systems Integrated Roadmap for analysis to use the emerging ecological translation theory as the theoretical guidance,taking the transformation of linguistic,cultural,and communicative dimensions as the starting point,so as to explore the problems encountered in the translation of scientific and technological texts,and summarize the corresponding translation methods and strategies.It is concluded that scientific and technological texts with specific textual characteristics should be translated in adaptation to the translation ecological environment based on textual characteristics.In addition,appropriate translation methods should be chosen such as transformation,zero translation,extension,domestication,foreignization,compensation,inverse translation and omission,striving to achieve harmony and balance among multiple dimensions.This article aims to provide a broad research direction and perspective for the practical activities of EST translation by analyzing typical example sentences,improving the overall level of EST translation. |
