Simultaneous interpretation is a form of oral translation in which the output of the translated text and the expression of the original text are carried out almost simultaneously.Due to the time constraints,on-site interpretation pressure and uncertainty, interpreters should be able to receive, analyze and reorganize information and produce the output the target language at the same time.It is a challenging interpretation work with high intensity and heavy pressure. The time and energy of interpreters are limited, and some measures must be taken to improve the output efficiency and ensure the quality of translation,The syntactic-driven strategy is one of the most important translation strategies in simultaneous interpretation. At present, there are many studies that explore the specific application and effect of sentence alignment driven strategies in English-Chinese simultaneous interpreting in light of Daniel Gile’s Effort Model, while there are relatively few studies that analyze the difficulties that often occur when student interpreters use sentence alignment driven strategies and propose solutions. On the basis of Gile’s cognitive load model theory, this paper attempts to summarize the mistakes of student interpreters in English-Chinese simultaneous interpreting, analyze the reasons why student interpreters have different mastery of sentence driven techniques, and propose solutions to help student interpreters grasp the listening and discrimination strategies of the source language better and flexibly use sentence driven strategies to reduce memory load and improve translation quality.
