Modern social tourism is booming,and the development of tourism with characteristic culture is a common development strategy adopted by ethnic minority communities.Under the impact of tourism consumption culture,minority festivals are increasingly becoming important tourism resources,and festival activities show the trend of changing from "ceremony" to "performance".Under this background,combing and analyzing the cultural performance phenomenon and its generating logic in ethnic festivals based on individual cases is of great significance for reflecting on the existing development model of ethnic festivals and looking forward to the feasible path and development direction of festival intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance.Suining Miao’s lunar April 8th Girls’ Day is a national intangible cultural heritage,which originated from the legend of Yang Jinhua,the heroine of the Song Dynasty,who saved her brother.In memory of Yang Jinhua,the Miao people in Suining took their married daughters home on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month to celebrate the Girls’ Day,offering sacrifices to their ancestors,eating black rice,and organizing collective festivals such as singing folk songs,dancing day and night,and playing games and competitions.Nowadays,the festival activities of lunar April 8th Girls’ Day of Miao people in Suining are mainly various cultural performance activities.This paper adopts the methods of field investigation,literature analysis and interdisciplinary research to sort out its development,focusing on its contemporary development and cultural performance,and then analyzes them accordingly.In recent years,the Miao’s lunar April 8th Girls’ Day in Suining has changed from the traditional one day in time to last for several days.Festival activities are held in multiple locations at the same time,and the locations are associated with scenic spots.In the top-down festival organization led by the government,diverse participating teams participate in the festival activities together.Traditional festival activities,ethnic cultural performances and new-type performances are main contents of the performances.Festival performance has the social function of reviving the ethnic festival tradition,shaping the local cultural brand,and creating a platform for cultural tourism and business.From three aspects: meaning,path and motivation,this paper expounds the generating logic of the cultural performance of Miao’s lunar April 8th Girls’ Day under the background of the integration of literature and tourism.In terms of the expression of festival cultural significance,the cultural performance expresses the ethnic spirit of courage,filial piety and self-improvement,shows the ethnic culture of continuous inheritance,blending and innovation,and consolidates the ethnic relations of harmonious coexistence,unity and friendship.The festival performance is formed by showing the festival tradition,the ethnic culture and the supplement of “the others”.The reasons for the formation of cultural performances in the festival are the power operation of the government,the collusion of villagers’ interests,and the interaction between the host and the guest in the tourist field.As the main contemporary manifestation of Miao’s lunar April 8th Girls’ Day,festival cultural performance is a double-edged sword.Contemporary festival cultural performance also objectively promotes cultural heritage in festival performance.The multi-party participation of contemporary festivals promotes the integration of social relations,while the contemporary development and revival of ethnic traditional festivals promotes rural development and revitalization.However,the construction of cultural performance has brought about the problems of "variation" and "platformization" of festivals and ethnic cultures,and the distribution of benefits in festival performances has led to uneven profits and unbalanced inheritance of festival cultures in the region.As the main body of festival culture,people can actively adjust themselves in the contemporary construction of festivals.In the process of the contemporary development of traditional festivals of ethnic minorities,the contemporary revival and development of festivals benefit from the participation of external forces such as the government,but at the same time it weakens the subjective position of ethnic groups,which actually reflects the dilemma of people’s subjectivity in the contemporary development of festivals.
