A Report On Simulated Simultaneous Interpreting Of 2021 Launch Event Of Huawei’s Intelligent Automotive Solution

In present era,the automobile industry is accelerating the complete transformation to intelligence,and the attention of consumers all over the world also transfers from the mechanical properties of automobiles to the intelligent and electric properties.In this process,ICT enterprises represented by Huawei have accelerated the integration with the automobile industry.They join hands with partners in the industrial chain,to embrace the revolutions of automobile electrification and intelligence,and help automobile enterprises build better cars.In order to promote more Chinese automobile products to go abroad,the quality of simultaneous interpreting of such events is particularly important.This paper is a practice report on simulated simultaneous interpreting about newemerged technology.It takes the 2021 launch event of Huawei intelligent automotive solution as the simulated practice material.This report is based on the triangle model of the interpretive theory,after the separation analysis of the three phases,the author analyzes this report from three aspects: vocabulary,syntax and discourse.Among them,lexical analysis is mainly divided into processing strategy of cultural-loaded words and technical terms;syntactic structure analysis includes repeated components,scattered structures and mistake processing strategy;discourse analysis mainly includes the strategy to process the concealed logical words.Last but not the least,the author summarizes the difficulties encountered by the interpreters during simulated simultaneous interpreting,and provides some suggestions and interpreting strategies through analysis.On lexical level,interpreting strategies include abstracting key character,taking advantage of abbreviation,omitting unnecessary information,interpreting into synonym.On syntactic level,interpreting strategies include omitting repetition,lengthening process time,sense group division and rhetoric question process.On discourse level,interpreting strategies include prediction,attention for the logic hidden in ordinal words and pet phrases.The author hopes these suggestions could be helpful for other interpreters,students majored in interpreting or academic researchers,especially in the field of intelligent automotive industry.
