Based on local corpus,this paper studies the semantics and functions of the adverb"恐怕".Based on the interlanguage corpus,the students’acquisition of"恐怕"bias is investigated.Then,based on ontology exploration and error analysis,explore the targeted teaching of"恐怕".The main issues discussed in this paper are:what kind of semantics and functions does the adverb"恐怕"have,and how international Chinese teachers can guide students to correctly understand its semantics and grasp its functions,so as to output appropriate words.The main content is divided into four parts.The first chapter and the second chapter are the first part,the third chapter is the second part,and the fourth chapter is the third part.The first part of ontology research:Based on the theory of semantic grammar,discusses the semantics and functions of the adverb"恐怕".First of all,3000"恐怕"related corpora were randomly selected from the CCL corpus.Based on the speaker’s degree of confidence in the proposition,two semantic meanings of"恐怕"were extracted:high-confidence inference meaning and low-confidence conjecture meaning.Big semantic features:conjecture,euphemism,anticipation.Secondly,starting from the semantics,it summarizes the four functions of"恐怕":the function of speculating and communicating,the function of interpersonal moderation,the function of commenting and the function of suggesting and persuading.The second part is the analysis of errors:Under the guidance of the second language acquisition theory,it studies the errors of students’acquisition of"恐怕".Retrieve the HSK dynamic composition corpus,the global Chinese interlanguage corpus,the full-course intermediary word library and interlanguage text corpus for foreign students of Sun Yat-sen University,investigate the interlanguage corpus,and sort out the errors of foreign students in two aspects:semantic feature understanding errors and functional application errors.The third part of teaching research:Relying on the laws of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,based on the ontology research and error research of"恐怕",and based on the context teaching method,discusses the targeted teaching.From the perspective of the teacher’s teaching,it proposes:semantic construction,formula summarization,and case-by-case construction,and corresponding teaching cases are designed.From the point of view of students’practice,it proposes:discourse supplement,discourse correction and discourse overall practice.
