This report is based on simulated simultaneous interpretation on the topic of“State-owned Enterprises(SOE)digitalization” and has adopted Li Changshuan’s UMEER theoretical framework for case analysis.In particular,effective simultaneous interpreting skills,such as chunking,prediction and conversion are analyzed in coping with problems in the interpreting process.This report consists of four chapters.Chapter One gives a brief introduction about the background and significance of this interpreting.Chapter Two describes the process of preparation,including session topic,the speaker,terminology etc.Chapter Three introduces the theoretical framework of this paper.Chapter Four is the key part of this paper analyzing typical cases based on UMEER framework to put forward targeted strategies,such as active listening,de-verbalization,chunking,conciseness,paraphrasing and prediction.Chapter Five is the conclusion part summarizing the reflection and limitations through this practice,aiming at improving interpreting ability in the near future.
