Writing is the process of learners’ comprehensive application of what they have learned, and it is an important basis for measuring the learning level of second language learners.Teachers can judge the level of language competence of second language learners through their writing level and better guide students’ learning of target language. In the research process, this paper takes the compositions of Chinese learners in Thailand,Indonesia and Vietnam as the research corpus, and relies on Language Technology Platform(LTP)to analyze and study the compositions of Chinese learners in these three countries.IBM SPSS Statistics 26 was used to extract data and calculate syntactic complexity effectively from three aspects: quantitative dimension, diversity dimension and precision dimension. It is found that the average T unit length,T unit average clause number, average sentence length and T unit number of quantity dimension can effectively distinguish the learning level of Chinese learners in different countries in quantitative dimension. In terms of diversity dimension, the average number of syntactic component types can effectively distinguish the level of Chinese learners in different countries. In the fineness dimension,it is found that the index related to topic chain can effectively distinguish the Chinese level of Chinese learners in different countries. On the whole,Chinese language learners in Vietnam have higher learning level than Chinese language learners in Thailand and Indonesia, while Chinese language learners in Thailand and Indonesia have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the indicators of the three dimensions also show a certain correlation.Based on the above research results, this paper puts forward some suggestions on international Chinese teaching and Chinese language learner learning,in order to provide reference for the teaching of Chinese as a second language.
