Under the background of the growing demand for tourism,cross-cultural promotion in tourism has become more and more essential to promote the development of tourism in China. It is also very important to learn more advanced experience about tourism promotion. In order to promote the development of tourism and advocate our own culture,we need more useful knowledge about tourism promotion,so the translator chooses the second Chapter of Translation and Tourism:Strategies for Effective Cross-Cultural Promotion as the material for this translation practice with the hope of bringing valuable tourism promotion experience and research findings abroad to related Chinese workers. Before translation, the author analyzes the linguistic features of the source text, takes Eco-translatology as the theoretical guidance and conducts a case study on the translation of the source text from the perspective of three-dimensional transformation of Eco-translatology,and explores the adaptation and selection made by the translator in the translation process to the translation ecological environment as well as the translation strategies and methods used are discussed, with the aim of providing feasible translation strategies for similar translations in the future. It is also hoped that this report will bring some insights to other translators in translating similar texts.Under the guidance of Eco-translatology,the translator can carry out “threedimensional translation” in three dimensions: linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimension for the translation of the original text.In the linguistic dimension, the translator mainly uses conversion of word class, transformation of voice and omission. In the cultural dimension, the translator mainly uses the translation method of free translation, using the four-character expression to better convey the western cultural connotation. In the communicative dimension, the translator uses free translation and idiomatic expressions to convey the communicative intent of the speaker. The aim of this report is to summarize cutting-edge means and experience related to tourism promotion abroad,to provide available ways for the development of tourism in China, facilitate the “going out” of our own culture and strengthen foreign exchanges.
