Practice Report On The Translation Of Research On Tourism Resources And Development In Shanxi Province(Chapter Ⅵ And Ⅶ)

This is a report of Chinese-English translation,which is on the basis of translation of Chapter VI and VII of Research on Tourism Resources and Development in Shanxi Province compiled by Zhang Huixia and Yu Kewen.This book systematically introduces tourism resources in Shanxi Province,including natural and cultural landscapes.It is currently the first domestic monograph on the development of Shanxi’s tourism resources.From the perspective of“multi-dimensional” transformation of eco-translatology,the author makes adaptive transformation on three dimensions: language,culture and communication.Then,through several translation examples,the author discusses the translation strategies in the process of Chinese-English translation.On the one hand,the purpose of this translation is to show foreign readers the folk customs and urban and rural landscapes of Shanxi,so as to better promote its culture.On the other hand,it also provides reference for researchers in related fields and supplements to the original research on publicity translation.This practice report consists of four parts.Chapter I is an introduction to the translation task,including the brief introduction to the task content,the purpose and significance of the task.Chapter II is the description of translation process,including pre-translation preparation,translation process and post-translation review.The case analysis in Chapter III is the key part.After summarizing,collating and analyzing in translation practice,the author uses the“multi-dimensional” transformation theory of eco-translatology to analyze the text on the language dimension,cultural dimension and communicative dimension and puts forward translation strategies.The author hopes that the writing of this translation report will be helpful to publicize the tourist attractions and study the translation of tourist texts in Shanxi Province.
