| As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,the principal contradiction in Chinese society has been transformed.How to realize people’s longing for a better life has been endowed with new connotation of government performance management,and it has also become an important indicator for building a service-oriented government that the people are satisfied with.Public service motivation is the internal driving force that individuals are willing to serve the public and the country.As one of the important characteristics of public sector personnel,public sector personnel are encouraged to pursue public interests.In particular,the birth of the theory of public service motivation provides a new research perspective for government performance management.At present,the academic circle has not reached a unified consensus on the research conclusion of the influence mechanism between public service motivation and work performance,and it is still in the contention stage of a hundred schools of thought.There are still many problems in the performance of public sector in our country.Therefore,it is of great value to study the relationship between public service motivation and job performance.Based on the theory of public service motivation,through a large number of documents,in the public sector staff as the research object,the public service motivation,job satisfaction and job performance through theoretical analysis,the relationship between public service motivation and job performance relationship and job satisfaction intermediary variable effect hypothesis,and on this basis to build relationship model.A total of 823 valid questionnaires were collected from public departments in fujian province through the online and offline questionnaire survey.SPSS20.0 and STATA12.0 were used to analyze the survey data.The statistical analysis of data samples showed that the public service motivation of fujian’s public sector was in the middle and above level,and gender had significant differences in the test of public service motivation.The empirical results of this paper support the research hypothesis that there is a significant positive correlation between public service motivation and work performance.It has passed part of the mediating effect test of job satisfaction,that is,the public service motivation of public sector personnel not only has a direct impact on job performance,but also affects job satisfaction,thus improving job performance and having an indirect impact.Based on the results of empirical analysis,based on the construction of public service motivation and the improvement of job satisfaction,practical Suggestions and countermeasures are put forward to stimulate the work performance of public sector personnel.To create a strong public service organization atmosphere;Improve the public sector personnel selection system;In-depth training on public service motivation in the public sector;Improve the job satisfaction level of public employees.The shortcomings of this paper and the future research prospects are discussed. |
