In recent years,the state has made great efforts to develop vocational education,and the Ministry of Education has issued a number of documents to promote the development of quality education in vocational schools.At the same time,under the influence of Xi Jinping’s thought on the rule of law,the state pays more and more attention to the rule of law education for teenagers.The state’s attention to vocational education has changed from the past emphasis on vocational education to the present vision that vocational education should take into account the training of skills and the cultivation of moral and legal quality.However,due to the influence of traditional teaching mode,the teaching mode of legal courses in secondary vocational schools in China is relatively single at the present stage,and the teaching objectives are different from the current quality education standards.The outdated teaching methods lead to low teaching efficiency and unsatisfactory teaching quality.The topic-based teaching method originated from political discipline.The 2017 edition of "Standard for Ideological and Political Lessons of Ordinary Senior High Schools" proposed that "curriculum teaching of activity-based subject should be designed around issues",thus the topic-based teaching method has entered the public horizon.Under the influence of democratic equality education idea,the topic-based teaching method advocated by topics,teaching subject knowledge,and the students are the main body of learning activities.Teachers guide students to explore issues in the process of learning scientific knowledge through constructing the real situation.At the same time,teachers should set up the correct value orientation to raise their core literacy.This teaching method emphasizes the cultivation of core qualities and values while learning subject knowledge,and to some extent,the author thinks that it is more in line with the training goal of learning skills and cultivating moral legal literacy of vocational education in China.Therefore,the author tries to introduce the topic-based teaching method,which is popular in politics,into the teaching of legal courses in secondary vocational schools.Taking constitutional Law as an example,the author analyzes the problems of topic-based teaching method in the teaching process and puts forward appropriate countermeasures.This article is divided into five parts including the introduction.The first part is the introduction,which briefly introduces the source and significance of the topic,research status at home and abroad,research methods and innovations.The second part introduces the connotation of topic teaching interpretation from the concept of topic-based teaching,principles,main steps,as well as the comparison with other related teaching modes.The third part of the article expounds the necessity and feasibility of introducing "constitutional Law" curriculum in secondary vocational schools through the analysis of the existing objective basis of topic-based teaching method.The fourth part of the article will summarize the problems of the application of topic-based teaching method in the teaching process,including the fragmentation of topic setting,low student participation,the value of material guidance is not prominent,teachers’ teaching rhythm is difficult to control,the acceptance of teaching results is not clear,and try to analyze the reasons behind.In the fifth part,the author analyzes the problems in the teaching process and tries to put forward five specific suggestions,that is,to expand the selection range of topics,to clarify the criteria of topic selection,to create appropriate teaching situation,to improve the ability of teachers to guide and control,and to introduce the multi-evaluation mechanism.The sixth part is a concrete teaching design to specific chapter in “Constitutional Law” textbook.
