With the development of China’s social economy and the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure,the demand for skilled talents in society is increasing,and the quality requirements for professional talents are also higher and higher.To implement the spirit of the national vocational education conference,vigorously implement the national reform plan for vocational education,build a skilled society,train high-quality vocational workers,and match vocational skills with economy and society are all gradually deepening the reform of China’s Vocational and technical education,which reflects the state’s attention to secondary vocational education.Therefore,the establishment and development of secondary vocational schools,the development of curriculum and teaching quality,the construction of professional curriculum and teaching materials and the reform of teaching methods in secondary vocational schools have attracted much attention.Moreover,in the context of the comprehensive rule of law,it is increasingly important to cultivate and improve citizens’ concept of the rule of law.Under such a trend,it is particularly important to strengthen the teaching effectiveness of legal affairs major in secondary vocational schools.Based on Dewey’s pragmatism educational thought,constructivism theory and Situational Cognition Theory,this paper comprehensively uses the methods of questionnaire survey,interview,experimental comparative research and literature research to explore the application of situational teaching method in the teaching of the principle and practice of labor and social security law(hereinafter referred to as labor protection law)of legal affairs major in secondary vocational schools.By creating situations such as picture display,language description and simulated performance reproduction,let students participate in the classroom and let students learn in the situation,so as to give full play to students’ main role,realize the integration of teaching and learning,truly achieve the unity of knowing,meaning and behavior,improve teaching effectiveness while improving students’ legal literacy,and cultivate high-quality skilled talents for the society.The full text includes five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly summarizes and analyzes the literature of situational teaching method and its application at home and abroad,and points out the specific research significance and research methods;The second part summarizes the related concepts of situational teaching method,and points out the theoretical basis of applying situational teaching method;The third part summarizes the current teaching status and problems of the labor protection law course in secondary vocational schools by analyzing the survey data obtained by questionnaire and interview,so as to pave the way for the application analysis of the following text;The fourth part deeply explores the feasibility and necessity of applying situational teaching method to the labor protection law,and puts forward specific methods on how to better apply situational teaching method to the teaching of labor protection law.It mainly puts forward ideas and suggestions from five aspects: changing ideas,improving teachers’ own level,reasonably cooperating with other teaching methods,creating situations according to learning conditions and providing guarantee for schools,It is expected to improve the teaching effect of applying situational teaching method;The fifth part is to select a section of the textbook for specific teaching design.
