China and the Middle East countries have always had good relations,the interdependence of both sides are relatively high,and in various fields have a potential cooperation space.Since the Belt and Road initiative it was put forward,all countries in the Middle East are expected to promote their own economic development by participation in that initiative.China also attaches great importance to the Middle East countries,and believes that the Middle East will not just play an important role in the Belt and Road,but can have a positive impact on china’s energy security.China and the Middle East countries on jointly promoting the Belt and Road initiative have strong motivation,the background of the friendly relations between the two sides,mutually satisfying each other’s needs,and the positive attitude of the Middle East countries to the Belt and Road have paved the way for the Belt and Road Cooperation of china and the Middle East countries.Although many problems in the Middle East countries,including the turmoil in the Middle East,interference of forces outside the region,the great power game,conflicts between states and another serious problems,greatly threaten the Belt and Road cooperation between China and Middle East countries,but since the "Belt and Road" initiative was put forward nine years ago,generally,the cooperation between the two sides in different fields of the Belt and Road,including "the five focuses " of the belt and road has made remarkable progress.In the field of trade investment,the trade and investment between the two sides are rising trend,in addition,the policies that have taken by governments of both for trade and investment facilitation will play an effective role in the growing of trade volume and mutual investment between two sides.In the field of infrastructure construction,Chinese enterprises have obtained many important infrastructure projects in the Middle East,some projects have been completed and put into operation,some projects are in the progress,those projects not only affect the economic growth of target countries,but also promote the development of the Belt and Road.In the field of energy,which is the core content of the Belt and Road cooperation between china and the Middle East countries,China increasingly imports oil from the Middle East countries,she is constantly expanding cooperation relationship with Middle East countries in oil gas,nuclear energy and new energy.Chinese enterprises actively participate in construction and improving energy infrastructure of Middle East countries.In field of cultural and education exchange,with the Belt and Road proposed,China and the Middle East countries have closer communication at high-level and non-governmental exchanges,the cultural communication also have become more abundant.In general,since the Belt and Road was put forward in these years,China and the Middle East countries have continually developed cooperation relationship between the two sides,and in the fields mentioned above achieved good accomplishments.In the face of problems and challenges that threaten the Belt and Road cooperation between China and the Middle East countries,China has taken the policies mainly includes the principles of seeking common ground while shelving differences and nonaligned,adhering the principle of non-interference in internal affairs,advocating the common fight against terrorism,push forward people to people bond,the Middle East countries also must to take some constructive policies,for example,to curb the intervention of external forces,to improve and strengthen regionalism,to increase regional economic cooperation,uniform measures to fight terrorism,to implement these policies under the concerted efforts of all the countries of the Middle East can reduce threats to the belt and Road cooperation between china and the Middle East countries.
