Poverty has always been a worldwide problem, and it is also the focus of scholars all over the world.Although absolute poverty has been eliminated at present, the problems of relative poverty and intergenerational transmission of poverty have not been solved, which affects the sustainability of poverty alleviation results and aggravating social inequality.China’s poverty problem is mainly in rural areas. Therefore, blocking the path of intergenerational transmission of farmers’ poverty is the key to promoting rural revitalization and realizing common prosperity. In the field of anti-poverty research, the sustainable livelihood framework is a new entry point, which affects the development potential of families.Based on this, this paper will study the impact of farmers’ livelihood capital on the intergenerational transmission of poverty under the framework of sustainable livelihood, and explore the intermediary role of women’s labor participation, which has certain theoretical value and practical significance for further exerting the "hematopoietic function" of livelihood capital, releasing gender dividends, strengthening the development potential of farmers’ families and promoting rural revitalization. In view of the above problems, this paper systematically analyzes the impact of farmers’ livelihood capital on intergenerational transmission of poverty and the mediating effect of female labor participation from both theoretical and empirical aspects based on the review of relevant domestic and foreign literature.Firstly,it briefly explains the concept definition and related theories of farmers’ livelihood capital, women’s labor participation and intergenerational transmission of poverty.Secondly,it analyzes the impact of farmers’ livelihood capital on the intergenerational transmission of poverty from the mechanism level, and analyzes the intermediary role of women’s labor participation.Thirdly, the Probit model is constructed by using cfps2018 data to empirically test the impact of farmers’ livelihood capital on the intergenerational transmission of poverty, and further use the intermediary effect model to verify the intermediary effect of women’s labor participation. Finally,it summarizes the research conclusions of this paper and puts forward specific countermeasures to block the intergenerational transmission of poverty and consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation. The main conclusions include:(1)Farmers’ livelihood capital is conducive to blocking the intergenerational transmission of poverty.Among them, the accumulation of material capital, human capital, social capital, natural capital and financial capital can significantly block the intergenerational transmission of poverty, while the significance level of psychological capital is not high.(2)Farmers’ livelihood capital significantly promotes women’s labor participation, especially human capital and social capital.(3)Female labor participation significantly reduces the probability of Multidimensional Poverty and effectively block the intergenerational transmission of poverty.(4)Female labor participation has a mediating effect between farmers’ livelihood capital and blocking the intergenerational transmission of poverty, especially in the mediating effect of human capital and social capital on blocking the transmission of poverty costs.(5)The impact of farmers’ livelihood capital on the intergenerational transmission of poverty is different in gender, marital status and regions.Livelihood capital is more helpful to reduce the incidence of multi-dimensional poverty in families with male offspring, married children and families in central and western regions. To sum up,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: first, increase subsidies for farmers’ family production and life;Second, pay attention to education investment and education equity;Third, establish a multi-level social support network;Fourth, increase investment in rural infrastructure;Fifth, improve the rural credit system;Sixth, create more flexible ways of employment.
