Case Study On The Intervention Of Rational Emotion Therapy In The Bad Mood Of The Disabled Elderly

With the deepening of China’s aging process,both the state and society pay more and more attention to the aging problem.However,the problems presented by aging are becoming more and more complex.The diversity of the elderly group determines the diversity of the needs of the elderly group.Among them,the number of disabled elderly groups is increasing.Due to the inconvenient life of disabled elderly in action,they are further separated from society.In most cases,they can only move at home,and the problem of bad emotions is increasingly reflected.These bad emotions have brought a series of problems to the disabled elderly,such as interpersonal barriers,family tensions and so on.China is still exploring to deal with the problem of service for the elderly.As an important service specialty,social work plays an important role in dealing with the bad emotions of the disabled elderly.Through the research,it is found that the negative emotional problems of the disabled elderly are mainly caused by their unreasonable cognition of the major event of "disability".Therefore,changing the irrational beliefs of the disabled elderly is the key to the intervention and intervention of social work.Combined with the case work method and rational emotion treatment mode in social work,this paper selects the elderly s in Y community as the intervention case,and uses the techniques of rational imagination method and rational homework method to change s’ s irrational belief.The change process is divided into three stages: problem analysis and demand estimation,irrational belief inspection and construction of reasonable belief.After the intervention,it was found that rational emotional therapy has high applicability in the negative emotions of the disabled elderly,can effectively improve the emotional state and behavior mode of the disabled elderly,and is conducive to the emotional connection between the disabled elderly and their families,neighbors and communities.It should be noted that when using rational emotional therapy to intervene in the adverse emotional problems of the disabled elderly,it needs to be combined with the elderly’s life situation,including family,peer group and community,as well as the elderly’s life course,so as to more deeply discover the impact of major events in the elderly’s life on their irrational beliefs and adverse emotions.
