The Spatial And Temporal Characteristics And Tourism Driving Effects Of Island Human Settlements

The high-quality development of rural human settlements is the key task for China to accelerate the realization of rural revitalization.In recent years,with the vigorous development of rural tourism,scholars have begun to pay attention to and analyze the relationship between tourism and rural human settlements,but the current relevant literature rarely involves island areas.As an important support for the development of China ’s marine economy in the 21 st century,the study of the driving effect of tourism on the human settlement environment of the island can not only bridge the gap between the existing research on the human settlement environment in the island area,but also help the island area to find a new way of ecological,industrial,humanistic and rich life,promote the high-quality development of the marine economy,and accelerate the revitalization of fishing villages.Based on this,this paper takes 12 island counties in China as the research object,guided by human settlements science,sustainable development theory and tourism destination life cycle theory,on the basis of constructing the index system of island tourism development and island human settlements environment respectively,with the help of entropy method,the temporal and spatial characteristics of island human settlements environment development and island tourism development in the ten years from 2011 to 2020 are measured,and the driving mechanism of tourism to island human settlements environment is constructed by econometric method,and the optimization countermeasures of island human settlements environment driven by tourism are put forward.The study found that :(1)The development level of human settlements in 12 island counties in China is quite different,and the imbalance is obvious,but the overall situation is on the rise.Long Island,Dinghai,Daishan,Putuo,Dongtou and Dongshan showed a fluctuating upward development trend.Yuhuan and Chongming developed rapidly.The development level of human settlements in South Australia has been in a relatively stable state.(2)The overall development level of tourism in 12 island counties in China is on the rise,from low level to high level year by year.During this period,affected by the new coronavirus epidemic in 2019,the tourism development level of some island areas fluctuated,but the overall development level was still in the high-level development range.(3)Through the benchmark regression analysis of the tourism driving effect of the island living environment,it is found that the development of island tourism reversely drives the island living environment and inhibits the development of the island living environment.The possible reasons are as follows : First,the island ’s ecological environment is extremely fragile.With the development of tourism,a large number of foreign subjects have entered the island,which has increased the burden of the island ’s ecological environment to a certain extent and aggravated the contradiction between people and land.Second,blindly pursuing better tourism industry effects while ignoring the high-quality development of island tourism will reverse the development of island human settlements due to excessive consumption of island resources and destruction of ecological environment.Third,improper tourism development can easily aggravate the contradiction between ecological environment,resource allocation and regional space,which to some extent inhibits the development of island human settlements.(4)Based on the above research results,this thesis proposes four optimization countermeasures to strengthen the construction of island ecological environment,create harmonious island living space,attach importance to the quality of island economic development,and promote the high-quality development of marine tourism,so as to promote the high-quality development of island living environment.
