Research On The Social Adaptation Of Immigrants In Coal Mining Subsidence Areas From The Perspective Of Field Theory

Shanxi Province,as a major coal province in my country,provides a large number of indispensable coal resources for the rapid development of my country’s industry.However,long-term and large-scale coal mining has also damaged the geological structure,resulting in the appearance of coal mining subsidence areas.G County is one of the important coal-producing counties in Shanxi Province,it also paid an irreparable price for long-term coal mining.According to statistics,as of the end of 2014,coal mining in G County has caused a subsidence area of 10.07 square kilometers,with more than 4,000 people affected.The relocation and governance of the coal mining subsidence area is imminent.G County started the relocation and resettlement of coal mining subsidence areas in 2017.It has been 4 years since then.According to the field theory,When immigrants move from one field to another unfamiliar field,there will be a phenomenon of "mismatch" between the habitus of this field and the other field.From this point of view,Whether the original rural habits of immigrants in the coal mining subsidence area and the urban field they have moved into will "do not match" ?Can the resettlers in the coal mining subsidence area truly adapt to the local life when they are relocated to a new environment? What factors have an impact on the social adaptation of immigrants in coal mining subsidence areas? These issues are what the author tries to understand,discuss and study in this article.This article takes the resettlers in the coal mining subsidence areas relocated to G County and GY Town as the research objects,and adopts the research method combining the questionnaire survey method and the interview method.Through on-the-spot visits to understand the resettlement status of the migrants,and to investigate the social adaptation status of the migrants after relocating to the urban field.Through investigation and research,it is found that there is a phenomenon of social maladaptation in the resettlers in the coal mining subsidence area,which is mainly manifested in the aspects of production and life,social relations and psychology.This article deeply analyzes the influencing factors of immigrant social maladjustment from the perspective of field-habitus-capital.On this basis,corresponding countermeasures are put forward from three aspects: the coordination of habitus and field,the check and balance of field order,and the reconstruction of immigrant capital,so as to improve the social adaptability of immigrants in the urban field,so that they can Better realize its own development and ensure the stable operation of the social order in G County.This paper is mainly divided into six parts.The introduction part mainly introduces the research background and significance of this paper,the related research status,research ideas,methods and the selection of investigation objects,as well as the definition and theoretical basis of related concepts;The second part mainly introduces the background of the migrants entering the urban field in the coal mining subsidence area of G county,namely the introduction of the basic situation of the coal mining subsidence area in G county,the problems brought by the coal mining subsidence area in G county,the analysis of the motives of the resettlement,the G county coal mining subsidence areaand the implementation of resettlement work in the coal mining subsidence area in G county;The third part mainly analyzes the social maladaptive state of the immigrants from the aspects of production and life,social interaction and psychology;The fourth part analyzes the influencing factors of immigrant society maladaptation,which are: the incompatibility between the old habits of immigrants and the new field,the disorder of the order of the immigrant field,and the rupture of capital in the immigrant field;The fifth part puts forward countermeasures to improve the social adaptation of immigrants from three aspects: the realization of the coordination of the field and the habitus,the intervention of the third-party force in the immigrant field,and the reconstruction of immigrant capital;The sixth part is the summary of this paper,and also points out the shortcomings of this paper.In a word,the social adaptation of the resettlers in the coal mining subsidence area is not only related to the resettlement’s own future development,but also related to the harmony and stability of the whole society.The social adaptation of the resettlers in the coal mining subsidence area is a relatively long process,which not only requires the resettlers themselves to actively integrate into the new field,but also requires the efforts of the government and the whole society.
