Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of The Imbalance Between Supply And Demand Of Community Home-based Care Service For The Aged In Wenjiang District,Chengdu

With the continuous deepening of China’s aging population and the changing age structure of the population,the issue of elderly care has become a highly concerned social problem and topic.The elderly population in China has the characteristics of a large base,fast growth rate,and a large number of empty nests.About 97% of the elderly care at home and in the community.Traditional elderly care models and security systems are no longer able to meet the elderly care needs of today’s elderly under the trend of aging and fewer children.Guided by the national strategy of actively responding to population aging,drawing on advanced experience in elderly care services from abroad,and adhering to the government led and widely participated work policy,China’s elderly care service system has gradually formed a community home care service model with Chinese characteristics after a period of exploration and practice.Its advantages can not only make up for the shortcomings of traditional home care functionality and professionalism,It can also solve the problem of high fees for elderly care in institutions that are far from home.However,in the practical process,the phenomenon of resource waste,increased costs,and low satisfaction caused by the imbalance between supply and demand is becoming increasingly prominent.Therefore,in-depth research on how to improve the imbalance between supply and demand of community home-based elderly care services is particularly important for improving the quality of life of the elderly,reducing the burden of social elderly care,and promoting the coordinated development of the elderly care industry.This article selects Wenjiang District,Chengdu City as the research object.Firstly,through questionnaire surveys,on-site visits,policy and case studies,the current supply and demand situation of community home care services in Wenjiang District,Chengdu City is investigated.Secondly,using the four evaluation indicators of relevance,suitability,accessibility,and quality in the theory of supply and demand adaptation,a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods is used to analyze the main supply-demand imbalances in the quantity,structure,and quality of community homebased elderly care services in Wenjiang District.Finally,based on the theory of social embeddedness and welfare pluralism,the main reasons for the imbalance between supply and demand of community home-based elderly care services in Wenjiang District were found to be information asymmetry between the supply and demand sides,limitations of the industry itself,insufficient industrialization development of community home-based elderly care services,insufficient utilization of community functions,and insufficient connection and linkage between supply entities The contradiction between the infinite demand and the finite supply.The trend of aging and fewer children is constantly exacerbating the burden of elderly care in China,which restricts the development of social economy.Based on the analysis of the imbalance between supply and demand of community home-based elderly care services in Wenjiang District,this article believes that the optimization approach to the problem of supply and demand imbalance should not only accurately understand the true wishes of the elderly from a demand perspective,but also propose comprehensive improvement measures from a supply perspective.This article focuses on improving the supply and demand adaptability of community home-based elderly care services.After summarizing and refining,universal countermeasures and suggestions are derived,that is,putting people first to promote the effective release of demand,grasping the actual needs of the elderly,in order to optimize the supply structure and total supply;Improve the mechanism for cultivating and reserving talent teams,and improve the quality and quality of community home-based elderly care services by increasing the number and quality of employees;Develop integrated elderly care service centers and technologically innovative smart elderly care service models,promote the participation of social forces and the connection of various service systems,improve the digitalize and intelligence level of elderly care services,expand the supply of aging friendly services through multiple channels and fields,and promote the coordinated development of the community home care service industry.
