Study On The Current Situation And Influencing Factors Of Social Participation Of Rural Elderly In Tianjin

Under the background of increasingly serious aging of China,Tianjin’s aging level exceeds the national average.With the acceleration of urbanization,many young people leave the countryside,which indirectly leads to the more serious problem of rural aging.The World Health Organization has been advocating active aging.Participation is an important part of active aging.The elderly in rural areas can use their rich experience to participate in society properly,which can effectively reduce the social pension burden,and can also promote the integration of the elderly into society and realize self-realization value,and help the mental health of the elderly.Based on the field survey data,this thesis analyzes the current situation and influencing factors of rural elderly social participation in Tianjin.Based on the classification of social participation in previous studies,it is divided into four aspects: political participation,economic participation,interpersonal communication and cultural and recreational activities.In the identification of the influencing factors of the social participation of the rural elderly in Tianjin,the possible influencing factors are selected from the elderly’s own level and social level,and the factors that have a significant impact on the social participation of the rural elderly in Tianjin are identified by using the method of multiple logistic regression.The Spearman correlation coefficient is further used to explore the correlation between the identified influencing factors and all aspects of social participation.The results show that all the elderly interviewed have a certain degree of social participation.The elderly interviewed have the most social participation in interpersonal relations,the second is economic participation,the third is political participation,and the participation in collective cultural and recreational activities is the least.The identification of influencing factors shows that gender,economic situation,loneliness,physical quality of life,whether to hold activities regularly or irregularly,whether to use the Internet,and the degree of concern for national events and social hot issues have a significant impact on the social participation of rural elderly in Tianjin.The variables significantly related to political participation are gender,loneliness,whether to use the Internet,and the degree of concern for national events and social hot issues.The influencing factors significantly related to economic participation are gender,loneliness and whether to use the Internet.The variables significantly related to interpersonal relations are loneliness,physical quality of life,whether to use the Internet,and the degree of concern for national events and social hot issues,Whether to hold activities regularly or irregularly and whether to use the Internet are significantly related to cultural and recreational activities.Finally,according to the research conclusions,reasonable suggestions are put forward from the perspective of the government,the community,the family members of the elderly and the elderly themselves,so as to improve the social participation of the rural elderly in Tianjin.
