Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Rural Women’s Participation In Village Affairs Management In N City

"Effective governance" is one of the overall requirements for implementing the rural revitalization strategy.Achieving "effective governance" requires the participation of different actors,and rural women are one of the key actors in rural development.The extent of their participation in village affairs is an important indicator of women’s participation in rural governance.The participation of rural women in village affairs is conducive to promoting the basic national policy of gender equality,realizing the organic unity of rural economy,politics,culture,society,and environment,promoting comprehensive rural development,and laying a solid foundation for rural revitalization.Using literature research,questionnaire survey,and interview methods,the current situation of rural women’s participation in village affairs in N city was studied.Under the background of comprehensive rural revitalization,village affairs management involves a wider range of areas.In a broad sense,village affairs include village politics and other village-level affairs,involving politics,economy,culture,society,environment,and other aspects.The participation of rural women in village affairs includes village-level elections,beautiful countryside construction,women’s organization construction,and other matters.Therefore,village affairs management should be the organic unity of "village politics" and "village affairs" management in essence.The study selected the participation of N city rural women in village affairs as the focus of investigation and research,specifically investigating the population distribution of rural women in N city,women’s participation in local politics,and participation in various governance affairs in the village.The research shows that at the current stage in N city,women’s initiative to participate in village affairs is insufficient,the forms and contents of participation are relatively single,and the participation effect is not significant.Specifically,there are the following problems: inadequate guarantee of rural women’s participation in village affairs,weak atmosphere of rural women’s participation in village affairs,inadequate organization of rural women’s participation in village affairs,and the need to improve the level of rural women’s participation in village affairs.From an internal perspective,the lack of initiative and enthusiasm of rural women themselves to participate in village affairs is partly due to a limited understanding of participation in village affairs,a negative attitude towards the role that can be played by participating in village affairs.At the same time,the survey shows that the lack of active participation by rural women in village affairs is also related to their knowledge base,quality,and ability.From an external perspective,inadequate institutional guarantees,inadequate organization,and the lack of a good atmosphere for rural women’s participation in village affairs are the main reasons.Therefore,we should continue to improve policies and measures,strengthen organizational guarantees,and improve business training,providing comprehensive support for rural women’s participation in village affairs from the three dimensions of policy support,organizational construction,and capacity building.The premise for rural women’s participation in village affairs is to raise women’s awareness of participation and their participation skills.Secondly,continuously improve supportive measures to open up channels and build platforms for rural women to participate in village affairs.Finally,sustainable participation of rural women in village affairs requires breaking free from traditional thinking and relying on modern management methods to promote the depth of political participation of rural women,optimize the process of women’s participation in village-level public affairs,give full play to the important role of rural women,enhance the endogenous power of rural development,and help promote comprehensive rural revitalization.
